italian bakery located between le plateau and le village on ontario street. its right next door to café sfouf. its small, its smell divine, it has an open kitchen so you can totally peak and look at the chef mastery skill. there’s even an area to eat, its mainly a counter but you can stay in and enjoy some of the goods, be it sweet or savory. outside of the italian heavyweight of bombolones, cannoli and whatnot, you have some sandwiches and pizza. to wash it all down, you have some beverages like coffee for example. no espresso though, its filtered. when i went, they were only a couple of days old and place was already up and running and in full production for the holiday period. while it wasn’t as busy, people were curious enough to step in and be welcomed like a friend would by the owners. lovely and friendly people. i grabbed one of their pistachio bombolone(how can you resist a pistachio cream donut?) and a vegetarian pizza. the bombolone was everything you want from a good one, crispy, sweet and filled with a sweet nutty flavorful cream. the pizza on the other hand was fresh, tasty but the dough was way too hard to bite into it. on my way out, i grabbed one of their housemade panettone. kind of hard resisting that little cute package of delicious buttery cake. the panettone wasn’t the best i’ve had(personal taste) but it was still a very good one. flavorful from the fruit confit and buttery just like it should. all in all, good little bakery full of love and worth stopping by if you’re in the neighborhood
