Great starbucks! Positives: medium location with a good size patio, staff is friendly, drinks are accurate, seems like they always have a good amount of treats left, and they just revealed they have earlier opening hours to accommodate the business crowd. Negatives: can get very busy and crowded, the patio is closed in beside a dumpster, the regulars who frequent often camp out therefore sometimes no tables are available, and I find the parking lot and exits a bit of a pain. Overall, I come here once in a while when I’m in the area and desperate for a Chai Tea Latte.

This place has quick service, great servers and their outdoor seating area is very large so you are pretty much guaranteed a seat if you sit outside. It is in a mostly commercial area but I prefer that, very quiet.

Update: this Starbucks has stepped up it’s game. Their patio is actually really sweet(and large) and the staff is overwhelmingly nice. They really make me feel welcomed here

This location has a decent sized patio, but whoever designed if recognized that this is a windy area with not a lot of trees, so the patio actually has frosted glass around it. Good call! This location is not overly crowded which I also like, since it seems that most people take time to get over here, order, and then head back to one of the many businesses in the area. This location would also be a good candidate for a drivethru.

It is amazing to see how this place got so busy as soon as Starbucks opened up compared to Timothy’s Coffee. The place is designed nicely and there are various types of seating available from couches, high chairs to regular chairs plus they have a Patio as well. There are plenty of offices around so it does get busy in the morning and at noon hour. So if you want to be quick avoid those timings on weekdays. The staff is funny and polite and most of them are great at making the drinks as the some of them came from other stores.

This used to be Timothy’s way back when. Last time I was in this area was about 6 years ago when I used to work close to this plaza. Boy has it changed. Anywho, they’ve kept the patio, which is great, though I’m not sure if anyone uses it. When it was Timothy’s it was barely used. This Starbucks has a long bar for people flying solo, so you can work, read, have a drink by yourself without taking up a table for two, three of four(though I still used a table for two because it was empty and my laptop is huge). It has a good amount of plugs, Wi-Fi works and fairly roomy so noise doesn’t travel too much. Good place to get work done and baristas are nice.

** 3.5 Stars ** This is brand new… not even a week old and it’s ridiculously packed already. With so many headquarters nearby, it makes sense to have a coffee shop other than Timmy’s in this prime location. Timothy’s coffee failed in this exact same spot(horrible coffee). There’s now 3 Starbucks within a 3 km area. For a suburban spot, that’s really crazy. It’s like Yonge and King! Anyhow, this one is very different from the other 2 spots. It doesn’t have a drive through but what it does have is tons of space, a huge barrista area, large group seating, and a wind door /lobby. The wind door /lobby is a nice touch considering most other places have the wind blowing crazy cold air in the middle of winter. You’ll notice off the bat that the décor is a bit more sophisticated than the other two. The other two has a lot more blonde Ikea touches and green… this is all dark walnut woods. Even the tables look like real thick walnut wood(they’re not… just laminate). There’s 2 really large tables here that can easily accommodate 4 – 6 people. In addition to that, there’s a lot of tables of 2 scattered in various places. The service here is so much faster than the other two places. I’m actually quite shocked considering this place is only 4 days old. Then again, I did see 6 people behind the bar just taking care of drinks alone! There’s so much space they can have that many people with room to spare. Though there was 5 people in front of me, I got my drink in about 3 minutes. Not bad at all :) The service was pleasant, smiling, and even asked if I needed room in my cup for milk(I don’t!). It’s the small things that count and they got all the checks for it. They did sell out of the deal of the day for the 12 days of Christmas really fast. They have low stock in those. The person cleaning the area had very little knowledge of it(it’s probably why he’s not on cashier cause he was a bit ‘slow’). One small hiccup compared to waiting for 15 minutes that one time in the other Starbucks drive thru! I’m hoping the service and quality keeps up.
