I got my first tattoo at Moonshin and I don’t think I would ever go back. My best friend dragged me along with her because she was going to get her tattoo, which she got at Moonshin touched up. It had faded dramatically and she had only had it for a month and a half. That should have been my warning sign right there, but I still proceed to get a tattoo there. Just like hers, once my tattoo’s scab fell off it looked like a kid had colored it in with a crayon. The colour was not consistent, there were parts that were not even coloured in, the colour was wrong… it was just horrible. Now they’ve got an article in Metro(March 10th2009 article, 3rd page) about them saying they have not been sterilizing their equipment, nor having yearly health inspections, and in the last 4 years have only had 2! On top of urging all people who have been there for a piercing or tattoo between March 2005 to February 2009 to go get HIV, Heb B, and Hep C tested, I would advise anyone who is planning on going there to look into other options. There are plenty of other tattoo and piercing parlors, and I don’t think anyone will be sad to see this one disappear.
