I wish I had have gotten around to writing my review sooner in order to spare any souls that have gone here and got taken advantage of and hurt like I did during my horrendous experience. This money trap is disguised as a ‘medical’ spa, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. I decided to get a treatment done there as I was tricked into thinking this was the owner’s(her name is Hazel) area of expertise after some false advertising and because it was going to be a 2 month wait before I could see my dermatologist. «What’s the worst that could happen?», I thought to myself. Famous last words. The first red flag was that the treatment could be done on the same day, relatively simple and straightforward cryo she told me. She seemed eager to treat me and had the gun out before even giving me a quote that she clearly pulled out of her ass.(This is the part where I wish I could go back in time, get up and out of the room and tell Hazel«I’ll think about it»). Moving along, the treatment wasn’t properly completed, I noticed untreated areas as I was getting dressed so I had to call Hazel back in. For $ 500 you’d expect her to be a little more thorough, red flag #2. The fact that I had caught glaringly obvious untreated spots irked me a bit on the sole principle that a complete payment should warrant a complete service, tit for tat. I paid, booked a follow up and got out of there looking forward to seeing the results of my treatment in a few weeks. Instead a nightmare unfolded. In the following weeks, I noticed horrific scarring that was gruesome. I had to wear long shirts during the hot summer weather whenever I went outside to spare the shame and eyesore of these spots. No exaggeration needed, I will post pictures to illustrate this. What’s worse is that I noticed Hazel treated areas of my body that didn’t even need treatment! How do you mistake clear smooth skin for a mole!!! Not to sound conceited but there were areas of my beautiful crystal clear skin that didn’t even need treatment endured completely unnecessary zaps. Why?! Oh right… because it’s more money in her pocket. Thanks for that ‘bulk deal’, liar. A month later I went back for my follow up and showed my concerns, to which she offered me more of the same treatment. I could have fallen off the table, «you’re joking, right?». Why would I accept more of the same treatment that has basically left me looking like I have patches of purple chicken pox on my body? I’m not trying to look like I have leprosy! My favourite part when I was showing her the spots was that she said«never in my 20 years of being in the industry have I seen anything like this». Oh great, thanks for telling me that, that fixes everything and makes it all better, I’m glad it all worked out for everyone else(or so you claim), but I had to be the sacrificial lamb. The way she talked herself up and how she’s treated ‘thousands of patients’ really made me start to feel nauseous and it was tacit that she was not empathetic to my situation and more concerned about covering her ‘reputation’. I left completely unsatisfied with the follow up as it was nothing more than being brushed off as an anomaly and that ‘maybe coming back in the fall’ would be a better option. Well, there went my summer of wearing tank tops, tshirts and bathing suits. She basically took a physical insecurity of mine and multiplied it by 100, it was a total blow to my confidence. Fast forward to my dermatologist appointment a month later where I was told that anyone who specializes in cryo would have known that I wasn’t a suitable candidate and wouldn’t have treated me in the first place, and that of course over 80% of the treatment didn’t work on me and just made my moles much more visible and scarred because they required different excision techniques. Fortunately I have an awesome derm who is now providing the CORRECT treatments for me, almost a year after this horrific experience at «Lezah». This place should be renamed to «Lie-zah» or «Lazy» instead, because it’s slap dashed service all with the goal of sucking you for every penny possible. In conclusion, Hazel and her ‘medical spa’ are a COMPLETESCAM! Stay away! Seriously, I wish I could contact groupon and have them offer vouchers to customers to NOT come here! For the rest of my life I will never go to an establishment like this and will ONLY trust the advice of a healthcare professional who at the very least has completed medical school if they are to treat my skin, not some lame fast-tracked certification that boosts some crook’s ego like Hazel’s. At this rate and quality of service I expect there to be a ‘for lease’ sign in the window front soon. Karma.
