La Peau D’or Esthetics International

I went here a few weeks ago. I booked it through Wayspa as I had a gift card. I did some research before going. I didn’t realize it was in a small home but it’s designed to be a spa so it was fine. I really enjoyed the room where I had my body scrub and massage done. Roomy, good ambiance and it was upstairs so I wasn’t disturbed by outside noise. I enjoyed the full body scrub. However my feet and hands were left out. Not sure if that was purposely done but I would have liked for them to be included. The scrub also did not include the décolletage. The bathroom to shower upstairs after my scrub was very cramped. I felt a bit claustrophobic, I didn’t like that part at all. I also had a 1hr full body aromatherapy massage. I originally requested the female RMT but after booking, the spa called me back to say only the male RMT was available that day. They highly recommended him so I gave it a try. Well I don’t think I will be going back for that massage. He used way too much pressure and even when I told him, he said it was because of the tension in my muscles. This may have been true but I was very uncomfortable and did not enjoy parts of the massage. If I were to go back I would definitely only see the female RMT. Aside from the cramped bathroom and the too strong RMT male masseuse the only other complaint was their debit machine went down when I needed to pay. I couldn’t stay until they got it fixed so I left and said give me a call when it’s back up. I had to drive back out to the spa during my dinner after they called me about 3 times reminding me what time they closed. I didn’t get much of an appreciation when I came back to pay. That part left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I’m not in any rush to go back but maybe one day.

A friend of mine recommended this spa. Said it was the best service she had ever had. I have been having trouble with my skin and had been to quite a few spas lately all promising to fix my problems– I wasn’t having any luck. La Peau D’or saved me! After one facial my skin is turning around and looking much better, and the products they have recommended ACTUALLY work!!!
To top it all off the service was warm and welcoming.
I was very satisfied and look forward to going back again :)

Didn’t even get into this place. Made appt for 4 hours from now and was told that I need to secure it with a credit card or gift card number. Since I don’t have either and told them I pay everything in cash or debit, they told me they couldn’t hold the appointment. How pathetic, it was a nail appointment for $ 35.00 not an all day spa treatment for hundreds. Very disappointed!!!
