I have to give it a perfect rating. I only deal with MR Damon Vas. Years of great service. I have been to other locations and Toronto being the worst. But this location is very nice. Shopping at a camera store is great. staff knows what they are selling and don’t push extra stuff like warrantees And battery’s.

The only Henry’s I really like. I’ve been to a few Henry’s outlets now. And most experiences have been average to negative. Most photo store sales reps(no just Henry’s) are very condescending to anyone trying to get a start in this business. There’s a strong sense of ‘I know more than you’. However I haven’t faced this problem at this particular Henry’s. The customer service has been excellent. The sales reps are very polite, and cheerful. That to me is very important. If not for that, I’d just do all my shopping online. I just wish they wouldn’t try to stick me with expensive UV filters at the end of a lens purchase.

I’ve been to this location a few times over the years and each time you get a mix bag of results. Personally I go to Henry’s for the experties and HUGE selection available to try out. My most recent trip to here was a good one. The person who was ready to help me was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and also had a good grasp of what I wanted. I probably tried about 6 different D-SLR before I settled down to the one I found best for me. It also happened to be the second one he recommended after we learned my hand size is MUCH smaller than the average guy. The prices are closer to the upper limit in the market BUT they do price match AND they’re far more flexible to barter than a Future Shop or Best Buy. They may not give you a price cut but they’ll offer you items that you’ll need to buy for free(like a lens protector, UV filter, a SLR bag…). There are times where it can be painful to shop here when theyr’e way too busy and you’re just rushed or that you have a super junior person who has limited knowledge. Thankfully that hasn’t happened to me in a few years so I think this is a decent location to go for cameras.

If you’re a beginner in photography, this place is probably the best place you can go to. If you’re a professional, you already know to head to Vistek. Often find the way the employee chain works is that they start at Blacks, get better at Henrys, and then are perfect at Vistek.

I’ve had enough of Henrys terrible service. Once in a blue moon I’ll deal with an employee who isn’t an elitist and leave satisfied, but that doesn’t happen too often. I asked politely if FD adapters were sold in this location, and I received a very rude, sarcastic answer of «NO, EBAY». Not to mention the time when I refused the purchase of an extended warranty on my 7d body only to have the salesperson become visibly angry and pass the purchase onto another employee… I’m done with Henrys.

Very poorly treated — and they told a few fibs just to make an extra buck. I think the store is probably fine, but the salesperson I had was just awful and we couldn’t switch to another person due to their commission structure. Wish there was another Henry’s nearby
