Keung’s delight is a typically cantonese style restaurant which is also a hybrid of a hong kong café. It is a staple of comfort food for hong kong people. This place has been around for a while, and i’ve tried it multiple times. i can honestly say that the rating is fair, because i’ve had a really mixed experience with this restaurant. The Baked rice, are one of the worst of any hk café style restaurant. I would avoid it like the plague, as they really get wrong all of it, the meat, sauce all of it. Now when it comes to dishes, you have to be very selective, they have some good, some bad, the hot pot for fish was decent as the portions and the taste was just like other places. the sweet and sour pork had the correct taste, but the meat to batter ratio was a little extreme, as there wasn’t much meat. This restaurant is efficient as they get out dishes lighting quick, however a lot of the dishes are just average at best, but the prices are decent so that is a plus. The service, is nothing to come home from. chinese restaurant service is usually no frills but efficient and no nonsense, this place was just no frills. and not efficient, as it took a long long time to get servers to do anything at this place, and this is not cause their busy, i’ve been here 4 times and every time the servers see you and ignore you. If given a choice i would recommend other hong kong restaurants in the area better then this place. it is not even on my top 5 places for this type of food.

Mreh. Nothing special. Food and taste is comparable to Congee Queen. Honestly, there’s just wayyyy too many Chinese places like this it’s beyond me.

Back in my student days, this place used to have cheap and delectable food! Nowadays it left me with a bitter taste. My bf ordered the Malaysian chicken wings since they were reportedly«amazing»… It was far from amazing… It was just a salty sad piece of meat with a lack of flavour! The rice dish we ordered came with an extra ingredient… Yup! A strand of hair… yum… They were quick to make a new plate but we were speculating that it will be the same dish! When it was presented again, it looked«new» but we wouldn’t know except for the chef! Still ate it though! I won’t be back anytime soon, that’s for sure! There are plenty of cheap eats in Scarborough!

We usually come here but it seems the food gets worse everytime. We ordered FRESHFISH congee and macaroni with bacon and eggs. The fish and macaroni is frozen and defrosted which I assume they do that with all the foods they serve here. How do I know its frozen? the macaroni is chewy which only happens to old pasta that was put in the fridge and recooked. The fish comes from a can with no skin attached. You’re telling me I should believe that fish is «FRESH»?

Usually when the food isn’t that great, I try to give it points for service. Sadly, Keung’s doesn’t have either. I gave it a second chance, but two stars is the most I can give. I understand that at a lot of Asian(especially Hong Kong style or Chinese restaurants) you have to actively flag someone down or wait a long time for someone to come, and I never deduct points for that, but the servers here really just didn’t care. We ordered the rice with pork and tomato, jellyfish with beef slices, and beef brisket noodles. All were mediocre. The rice was huge and filling, but the pork and tomato just didn’t have that taste to it. The beef brisket noodle was a failure unfortunately. The brisket was only okay, noodles were limp, the broth not flavorful, and even the veggies that usually accompany brisket noodles was extremely minimal. I guess that’s what you get for the price. The two stars come from the portion size and how late it’s open.

The food tastes so bad. It is much easier to find a better one in Markham or Richmond Hill.

Ate here for tea time! It was between 3pm to 5 something. You get a drink with any meal on the tea time menu. The meals are between $ 6 to $ 8.25. Quality, service, and price is very average but! Servings are the one the largest I have seen; congee for 2 for $ 6. Check out the pic. Please please go here instead of any fast food chinese restaurant around the area Go for: large large portions for relatively low price and quick service Don’t go for: a unique chinese food dining experience

I came here about a hour before it was closed for a midnight snack. When we got here the service was horrid, It took nearly a half hour before someone even came to give us water and ask us what we want. That would of been excusable if it was packed, but we were one of the 3 tables that were there at that time. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is simply because of the Deep Fried Crispy Milk Block. Those were delicious as soon as i took the first bite and the milk was oozing out of it. The sweetness of the condense milk and the whole thing being fried was what saved the experience of the restaurant from me just simply bashing on it.

Terrible customer service I have ever had. Made reservations where they took down my name and number but when i got there I had to wait because they couldn’t find the reservation. Waitress was rude, I waved at her, she even looked at my table and at me and stopped for a moment but only to walk the opposite direction away from our table and not help us. I would not come back here again.

Like some of the other reviews, the food is average and not that great. I went at 1030 pm, not too busy but it was difficult to wave down a server despite being seen by many. This was a very typical Chinese restaurant and environment. We ordered beef brisket named rice with tomato sauce and beef + preserved egg congee and sweet donut. The food came out pretty fast(~5 minutes after ordering). It’s very filling but not that tasty. I was very disappointed with the baked rice because the sauce was waaay too thick, especially when it cooled down — it was like glue. The meat in the congee tasted like old meat and kind of sour? It was edible but again, not good. When getting the bill, again, the servers just look at you and don’t even come to your table! Like, do you not want my money?! The total came to $ 18 including tip, although cheap, it was not worth the money. This restaurant is not delightful at all!

The food is decent but nothing to rave about. The prices of the dishes are fairly standard. The only issue I had is the service. The restaurant was understaffed for a busy Saturday dinner service and the staff was not attentive to our table. It took us a long time to flag down a waiter to order.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch for 9 people. Got a table fairly quickly. They have a lazy susan in the middle which makes it super convenient. The food here was mediocre, nothing too special. Service was not very good, took a while to get any service(like tea refills, cold water). The servers that we got only spoke Mandarin so it was very hard for us to place our order, but we did manage. This time we tried some eel fried rice which was new to me.

Keung’s Delight is this super popular Chinese restaurant located on one corner of a plaza that houses the T&T Supermarket on Warden. Because of all the Asian-ness surrounding the area, the parking lots are insanely busy all the time and this place probably gets quite a bit of foot traffic as well. The menu here offers up a wide variety of items and is large enough to cover any picky person’s preferences. We ordered the eggplant with minced pork, sticky fried rice, diced beef tenderloin, and malaysian chicken wings. Every dinner comes with complimentary soup that I found to be quite good. The minced pork with eggplant was done perfectly. I really liked how crisp the eggplant was on the outside and tender inside with not much oil from the pork. The sticky fried rice was good. I liked the flavor of it, but found it a bit salty. The black pepper tenderloin was also done well, but again overly seasoned and was so strong. The malaysian wings were the worst. It’s a matter of opinion but the pungent smell and flavor of the malay sauce was something I wasn’t ready for. Kind of smelled like fish sauce and was coated over the wing. The service here can feel a bit rushed, but that’s probably cause the place is always packed and the place seems to be understaffed. Despite that, food comes out quick, and though I find it pricier than most places, it’s not bad. Would come on an off hour as I can see this place garnering quite the wait during peak lunch and dinner times. They also have afternoon tea specials from 3−5pm with a nice variety as well.

Nothing great to say. Was overall average Chinese food. Took forever to get our order taken. Tea was too dark/strong that we had to ask for extra tea pot of hot water to dilute. This hot water, we had to ask for twice and came when we were almost done our meal. Food was okay tasting, not bad. Chicken wings smelt a little weird, but tasted okay. Stir fried pork with pancake wraps wasn’t good. Only came with 5 wraps, and we were left with an entire dish to eat alone. Service was really slow. Took forever to get our bill. We wanted to pay debit, but they never came by with the machine. They were all eating at the table next to us… But as soon as we put cash down instead(because tired of waiting) they came SOOO fast to grab that up. Lol

very disappointing. Bad service. Wings was too salty and tasted funny. The wraps came with only 5 wraps for an entire dish. I had to ask for everything at least twice. They told me i couldn’t pay visa. :(kept me waiting for 20 mins after i asked for bill multiple times. I really wanted to pay but they weren’t letting me. Service 1⁄5 Food 3⁄5 Price 3⁄5

On our first actual day in Markham, the family and I grabbed brunch here. It’s a pretty standard size restaurant with minimal décor. The service was alright, but the food was pretty top notch! I didn’t have an opportunity to take photos of the food we had, but I do remember some of the dishes we tried — Chief Style Chicken Congee — I’m not a huge fan of congee, but this was full of deliciousness and seasoned just perfectly. Plain rice noodle roll — This is a favorite brunch/Hong Kong style dish of mine. The noodles were cooked just right, but could have used more peanut and hoisin sauce. Deep Fried Crispy Milk Block — These were alright. I wasn’t a super huge fan of it because it was too sweet. Chicken & Shrimp fried rice in cream & tomato sauce — I’ve had this at another restaurant in New York City before, but this version of it was alright — not as savory. Dough Fritter with Rice Noodle Roll — I’ve never really had this in New York City before, but this was really delicious and had a nice crunch to it. Hong Kong Style Coffee — I really, really enjoyed this! It was possibly one of the best iced coffees I’ve had so far. I liked that they give you a small cup of syrup to pour into your drink so you can adjust the sweetness on your own. Overall, the food was pretty good and much better quality than the dinner at Chef Wong’s. The service could have been a little better. I would definitely come back here again for breakfast/brunch. It’s a nice change from the typical dim sum I had in Canada a few years ago.

Comida mala, precio normal, servicio de los mesoneros malisimo, te lanzan todo en la mesa, no han aprendido a atender al cliente, y todavia esperan que los clientes le den propina como si fuera obligado.

So pretty much the reason for this 2 star here is because the waiter came to our table as we were paying the bill and said to us we didn’t tip yet. Well no duh we didn’t tip yet because we were about to… ABOUTTO. My dad was going to tip a $ 5 but instead just gave the minimum. WHOASKSTHAT. That person was so rude. Usually I’ve come here a lot but never again after that night. The food is quite good and I think it has been for a good while and probably still is. The price though can be a bit pricy compared to other chinese restaurants. It can definitely be packed at nights since it is quite popular and it’s location is around a TON of asian people haha.

Now keung’s… are you really a delight at all? Tonight is the first time I’ve tried keung’s & … ugh. Guess we really can’t trust a restaurant with a comic sans font logo… The only good thing about this restaurant is that the food came at a lightning speed, but that’s not enough to bring it up from 1 star. Right off the bat, we were sat down at a table that had not been cleaned… hey, I don’t mind waiting. Please just make sure I’m sitting down at a sanitary place for my food. They half-assed the cleaning and left the old teapot from the table before us and a half used cup of tea… and when we asked to switch, they were super confused and had pissy faces. The waiters are slow and they don’t understand what I’m talking about, even when I ask for a cup of cold water in chinese. & When I say thank you, they don’t seem to understand me either… am I from mars or something? Why does this place lack so much communication? The food was mediocre at best. If super salty and severely fried foods are your calling, this is the place for you. The amount of sodium in every dish tops the amount of sodium I consume in one day. The plain congee was so salty and it made me thirsty right away. The rest of the dishes(tofu, noodles) were ok. nothing I’d ever crave though. The thing that dropped this rating from a 2 – 3 to a 1 is the fact that our party went up to pay and then came back to the table to sort out the tips with the remaining cash. Another male waiter came by with a bill and when we said we had already paid, he made a disapproving face like he didn’t believe us until we showed him our receipt. Then he stated rudely«You didn’t tip yet.»(in chinese) … JUST as we are sorting out the money to tip. RUDERUDERUDE. Kudos to my boyfriend’s mom for slamming down a five into his hand and shooing him away. Hope that fiver can buy you a new attitude. And everything else while you’re at it.

The food at Keung’s Delight is absolutely exceptional! It never fails to satisfy me. However, their customer service is not that great. Every time when I try to get the staff’s attention they would pretend not to see or hear me. You would really have to put an effort and emphasis on waving them down and speaking up in order to get their attention. Other than the service, I have nothing else to complain about.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and this place was packed. From what I understand, there is usually a line at the door for dinner. For lunch, we had to wait a few minutes but there was no line. The menus were extensive. That’s right, I used the plural form because we had 4 menus in front of us. After looking through the menus, we ordered the seafood congee, the shrimp with egg whites and broccoli, and shrimp in rice rolls. They were all really good. The rice rolls were as good as you’d get at any dim sum restaurant in the GTA. I was a little apprehensive with the shrimp with egg whites and broccoli because I had it elsewhere and didn’t care for it, but the one I had at Keung’s Delight changed my mind. It was delicious. The seafood congee was also really good. Make sure to remove the surf clams as soon as the congee arrives otherwise it will be too tough to enjoy. There was too much food to eat so we brought the rest home. The food made for tasty leftovers as well. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. Cash or debit only.
