I spent last night at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites London. I’d stayed here last year and liked it. My room was $ 126(plus taxes). Parking was included as was WIFI. I liked that the windows in the bedroom open so I could get fresh air. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and the mall is just down the street. I had a delicious supper last night at Flavurs, which is attached to the hotel. My only complaint is though the rooms are«no smoking», someone had obviously been smoking sometime in the room as it, especially the bathroom, smelled like cigarette smoke. I always travel with a scented candle so that helped. Plus I opened a window. I mentioned it to the staff at the check-in desk and they offered to moved me. Since I was only staying one night, I didn’t bother. Holiday Inn was also very quick and responsive to tweets.

Checked in around 3pm and found the room had not been cleaned. They said they would take cate of it. Returned at 8:30PM& the room was still not clean. The guy at the desk said he was sorry but they were sold out. He asked«what would you like me to do?» I told him we had paid for a room & would like to go to bed! He spoke with the manager and miraculously found us another room. Oh and the pool was closed as mentioned months ago in another review.

We found ourselves driving through London on our way to Niagara Falls, and found a good deal at London Hotel & Suites through Priceline($ 60). It appears that the hotel used to be something else as the only signage is a tarp over the entry. The lobby and whole hotel is really dated. It wasn’t grungy but it didn’t feel really clean either. The pool was closed which my six year old wasn’t happy about, and the free wifi was terribly spotty and slow which my wife wasn’t happy about. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel if you have to pay rack rate.

Literally one of the worst showers that I’ve ever taken. I had to creatively lean against the wall to even get wet. The beds were sleep number beds which are usually not that great. Although the room was older, it was still clean. I stayed in room 1212

My family has a history of visiting the most random locations for our Christmas vacation. It used to be Frankenmuth, MI for several years in a row, but since that drive was really far we decided this year to go somewhere closer that’s NOT called Niagara Falls. We saw a good deal on Hotwire for London hotels, so we picked one, found out we got assigned to the London Hotel & Suites(seriously guys, you gotta pick a more creative name), and off we went! The hotel is very clean and spacious, but quite dated. Not in the haven’t-been-renovated-since-1960 dated, but rather a-bit-tired-and-looking-like-a-bland-90’s-hotel dated. Everything looks a bit blah and a bit meh, but nothing was really wrong or anything. I found out that this property used to be a Radisson(you can even still see markings on the top of the hotel where the sign’s old imprint used to be), but they’ve decided to go independent, presumably to save on costs, for about a year now. The good thing about an older hotel is that it usually has spacious rooms, and this one didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and big, and my personal favourite: they had pillows that weren’t ultra-soft like many of the broken pillows I’ve had to lay my head on in countless hotels. They actually had firm ones, which afforded me sleep but without the neckache in the morning. BIGPLUSPOINT. They had a small gym on the top floor, which I originally thought was going to be a small room with one treadmill, but they had a treadmill, an elliptical, some weights and even a flatscreen TV to watch as you exercise. Pretty good! The pool was also nice if a bit small, and the hot tub was a nice touch(though a touch TOO hot for my liking). Overall, a nice hotel to relax in. Not one to impressive a lady friend, but a good solid choice for families, and the Hotwire rates were definitely a big help. It’s also conveniently located close to the highway, and downtown London is only around a 10 – 15 minute drive away. Good, solid choice!
