Mr Puffs

O.M.G. you havent lived till you’ved eaten thos little puffs of pure goodness. 6 flavers freshly made to order. Thay also have other pastrys as well. Also cold coffy drinks that are very good.

Concept is great and they actually taste good. But way way too oily. You can feel the oil leaking in your mouth when you bite into them.
Still an original dessert to bring to a dinner party. All my friends like them, so it might just be a matter of personal taste.

L’endroit se spécialise dans la confection de petites boules de pâtes frites et aromatisées au miel, au caramel ou au chocolat. Pas vraiment de la cuisine minceur si vous me suivez.
Personnellement, je trouve qu’elles goûtent à peu près la même chose, peu importe la saveur choisie. En général, elles sont bien, sans plus. Dans le genre, je préfère les Tim Bits de Tim Hortons.
Le service n’est pas souriant. Les employés ont l’air de s’en foutre un peu et d’attendre la fin de la journée pour fermer boutique. Le local est petit et bondé, ce qui n’incite pas à s’asseoir et consommer sur place.
J’ai vu, j’ai goûté et, malheureusement, je né suis pas assez convaincu pour y revenir.

Une rage de sucre en fin d’après midi m’a conduit à Mr Puffs. Je suis passé milles fois devant sans jamais remarquer l’endroit. L’établissement assez petit est au milieu d’une petite plaza de quartier à Laval.
En rentrant, ce qui frappé le plus est la quantité de gens sur place. Je me suis tout de suite dit: ça doit être très bon. Au menu: des boissons glaçées et des puffs à plusieurs saveurs: miel, sucre, chocolat, sirop d’érable, caramel. Pour tester, j’ai commandé une douzaine de puffs au chocolat. ll faut savoir que je né pouvais commander qu’une saveur, les mélanges en tout cas pour une petite portion si j’ai compris, né sont pas possibles.
Les prix sont très raisonnables, 4,50 $ pour 12. L’attente: 5 minutes car les puffs sont faits sur place devant vous donc tout frais, tout chauds. Le goût: un délice du ciel. Ils sont tout simplement savoureux. Je vous conseille d’en acheter pour en amener au boulot, au bbq et tous autres événements entre amis et familles. Ça sera un succès garanti.

I enjoyed them — more once they cooled down than when they were piping hot, but I think my friends overhyped these puffs, which may have affected my assessment. Still, they were good enough. As Pheng noted, the smell was very pleasant too.
I find the box of 30 to be expensive at $ 10, for what they are. I also never ignore when a business «turns a key» on the cash register rather than enter the cash sale. Because of this, I won’t be back. 3 stars for the product less one for the lack of receipt.

I really like going here for breakfast when i’m not too hungry and I want something sweet. The small box is 4.50 $ and it’s ready in less than 5 minutes. Today we went to see our nieces and brought a 16 $ box with us. It was very good everyone was happy. I would definately recommend this place if you never went lots of flavours to chose from: nutella, honey, sugar etc.

Les puffs sont bons, sans plus.
Le service laisse vraiment a désirerh.. aucun sourire et après avoir dit bonjour, la caissière n’a plus rien dit, elle nous a seulement servis par obligation on dirait. Meme le chef nous a lancé un drole de regard. Bref drôle d’endroit, je n’y retourne plus.

Mr. Puffs makes loukoumades to die for. Our Greek friends love this place (and in fact, they were the ones who recommended it to us!) Everything is made to order, too, so the doughnuts are piping hot off the (gulp) deep fryer when they’re smothered in cinnamon and honey.
Not only that, but they are eggfree, so my egg-​allergic son was able to eat them. And obviously, the nutella puffs were pretty dang amazing, too. Whenever I’m in the area, you can bet I’m going to be ordering a box of 30 ($ 10) and going to town.

Le goût de ces petits beignes tout chaud sont délicieux ! je préfère ceux au sucre et au chocolat :)

Here’s what you do. Order a box of Creamy Caramel Puffs, Leave it in the car. Roll up the windows. Go harass the pigeons for ½ hour. Come back. Get in. And just take in the sweet smell of fresh off the oil dairy-​free pastries.

Explained to be secret family recipe, Mr Puff’s dough puffs are eggfree, dairy-​free and contain no preservatives, additives and are vegan friendly. Hold up, I know what you’re thinking, «Jason, you’re slipping, diary free and vegan friendly? Are you joining the dark side?» No, hear me out, These puffs are everything that is good with the world; fried golden nuggets of puffy and chewy dough bathed in a honey syrup then topped with your choice of six different glazes — honey, sugar-​rolled, creamy caramel, maple syrup, honey glazed or… Sweet baby Jesus… NUTELLA.

I was lucky enough to try these little puffs (Mr. Puffs) for free at the Unilocal Aide 2013 event but let me tell you money would’ve been of no concern (and I’m a grad student so that means a lot coming from me).
As I described them at the event they are «like if Tim Bits were bigger, not mass produced, made with love, and then handed to you on a sugar platter of happiness. Amazing» and I mean every word of it.
They were so good I may have (I repeat may have, I admit to nothing) sent each of the two friends I came with to ask if we could have «just one more» because they were just so dang delicious.
Plus, even more than deliciousness, this company came out for a non-​profit event and allowed us hungry patrons to consume their goods for free… there’s nothing I love more than a delicious sugary baked good when made by a philanthropic heart. Just sayin’.
