Great shop. Keep in mind this location isn’t open on Sundays. If you don’t want to be disappointed, go in any other day. I wasn’t too happy about it being closed.

Fair trade? Good prices? Great merchandise? Yes please! I love Ten Thousand Villages. It’s always my go-to place for buying gifts. My sister introduced my to it by buying our family all donations for Christmas. She also bought my some great bracelets. Their women’s jewellery is fantastic! Very trendy. Great for young and old. They have lots of neat ethnic items. The staff is all volunteer. Great place to find unique gifts for yourself or a loved one.

I LOVE shopping here! I always feel like I have contributed to a group that deals in fair trade. The store is eclectic and interesting. As Inga mentions in her review, the store does collect school supplies for those in need. All you need to do is go to the store nearest you and pick up the fabric bag. I am not sure on the time line required for the return of the bag but it is a great way to help out.

Want to do something that matters? Pick up fabric bags from 10,000 Villages, buy the list of required school supplies and return the bags filled by September 30th. Kids who lug water 5 km before school would be grateful for a bag full of dollar store school supplies… I challenge Unilocalers to fill bags and post about it in the talk forum.
