Tucked away behind Kelowna’s City hall in Vancouver is a lovely little oasis. This Japanese Garden is free to the public and I have spent many quiet Sundays reading a book and enjoying the atmosphere. Much like the Nitobe Gardens of UBC, the Kasugai Gardens is small but captures the essence of larger Japanese Gardens. Various foliage, interesting humble mosses, and whispering streams fill your senses. I immediately decided that this garden was very special and I haven’t lost that initially feeling, yet. I am confident that that feeling will be an enduring one.
