When the owner of a homemade pasta place in a heavy Italian accent asks, «if you like Cesar salads?» and you reply with yes and he then all heavy Italian accent says, «get a cesar, you will enjoy it.» You obviously have only one choice. One of the most pleasurable dining experiences I’ve encountered. Everything was fantastic! The most perfect al dente thick noodles to the most delectable scallops, not the mention the amazing Crème Brulee paird with an exquisite wine. Hats off to Peter and staff.

I was passing through Kamloops and the hotel clerk recommended Peter’s. I was alone and sat at a nice little table by the window. No wifi which was a drag sine I was by myself. Location is right in the restored downtown which is quaint and nice to stroll after dinner. Had the Ceasar salad and the house made linguine with Bolognese sauce. Salad had so much dressing it was inedible. The server told me that Canadians complain if there’s not enough. Now I know, as this was the 2nd time in 2 days. The garlic bread was very good. The Cabernet was mediocre. Their wine list is thin with lousy choices. The pasta was truly house made and good. I would’ve preferred more cooking as it was very al dente… but I didn’t ask so cannot fault Peter’s. Hilariously, they started closing while I was still eating at 8:20pm! Being from San Francisco, I’m used to pretty sophisticated restaurant cuisine. But for Kamloops, this place is great and inexpensive.

Good lord! Anyone that rates this place less than a five is ridiculous! Plain and simply put this is the freshest best pasta I’ve ever had. Ever! Inside and outside Europe. Who cares about the attentive service? Who cares about pristine, clean, sparkling kitchen? Who cares about the lovely quaint atmosphere. This place is serving up fresh pasta, with amazing sauces. I can’t say enough good things! Mmmmm

Very busy already when I arrived at 5:15pm. 8 tables already seated when they just opened at 5pm. Aromas of bread invites me as I walked in. Water was immediately served as I sat down. There’s a ice cream/gelato bar inside the restaurant. Food was OK. Tastes like a meal one would have if one has an Italian friend and his/her mom cooked pasta. Service was kind of lacking. Peter was attentive, while the two girls saw me looking at them(more than once) with my hand up, but they just ignored me.

While we only stopped in once for dinner, on vacation, the meal was absolutely perfect. Homemade pasta, fresh salad, excellent desert, etc. Everything was fresh and at the right temperature, including the bottle of Newcastle I had with dinner. Appears to be a family run place and they did an outstanding job. I had veal garlic and my wife had spaghetti marinara. We both loved it.

Quaint little joint, nothing that was exceptional though. The sauce to the pasta was good but the pasta itself was mediocre, I’ve had better house made pasta that wasn’t as overcooked. The tomatoes and greens salad was not worth the price we paid for it. Sure, the dressing was good but iceberg lettuce and a few slices of tomatoes aren’t that satisfying. edit: The owner has notified me that I was wrong when I said that they served me iceberg lettuce when it was romaine lettuce and that I should make sure I knew what was being served before I write a review. My apologies to Peter’s Pasta, I was so unimpressed by the salad I didn’t pay enough attention to what was being served.

it was a good place to eat the food is good and tastes homemade. Its a small place so we had to wait about 15 min for a seat. service was friendly and pretty good. really recommend the ceasar salad with chicken and the hedgehog for desert. its a simple menu that is tasty.

This is a small place and every customer is given that personal touch. It’s a pasta place so don’t come here looking for pizza or seafood. They have a good variety of pasta plates and are all put together well. My favourite starter is the mixed salad plate. We don’t go here nearly enough.

Ordered a garden salad, Caesar salad, spaghetti Bolognese, and a creamy chicken pesto special. The meals came with garlic bread. I thought the salads were amazing. Unique dressing on the garden salad that tasted homemade and seemed to consist in grainy mustard, lemon, oil, and thyme, emulsified/creamy. The Caesar salad had a unique flavour that I liked. Maybe lots of anchovies? The pasta sauces were underwhelming to say the least. The Bolognese sauce was not what I was expecting at all(a thick meat sauce with a home of tomato). Instead it was basically a tomato sauce with meat and unfortunately had that same flavour and texture that you get in a tomato/meat sauce from Boston Pizza or any pizza joint that sells pasta. The creamy pesto sauce was very creamy with not much pesto which meant it was a bit bland. The chicken was good though – cooked nicely and was not too dried out. The other disappointing thing was the garlic bread. The bread was boring Safeway-style baguettes. Not tasty and not a great texture – too dense. It was cut very thick and in the end tested more like plain bread than toasted bread.

food is ok but hardly as incredible as some claim. service is so so. And by that i mean slow slow. it seems like a place that has just been here for a long time and is hard to get into(doesn’t take reservations) so it MUST be good! right? it’s ok. it’s not fast whatsoever bc one person serves you aNd everyone else in there. I’ve been twice now but don’t think ill be going back. If you want actual delicious italian go across the street to d’agostinos

My son and I popped in here for a quick bite on a Friday night. The place was packed but luckily a table for two was just clearing so we were seated in a few minutes. Of course, we only had two mains but they were both spectacular. Fresh pasta and vegetables at very reasonable prices. The service was excellent and relatively fast given that every table was full. Peter himself stopped by twice to check on us. I noticed that everyone around us were very happy with their meals, which looked great, pardon me for staring!

Peter’s Pasta… The name says it all… minus the heads up about the abnormally busy hole in the wall. Peter serves all the tables and makes a point of connecting with everyone in this small, but charming Italian nook. The pasta is consistently above average… nothing too fancy, thus it really reminds me of great home cooked food. One of my favorite dining locations.

This casual pasta restaurant was better than expected. The handmade pasta was al dente and the tomato cream sauce had a hint of spice. It was served with chicken that was grilled until crispy, but still tender(a tricky thing to do). Also had the seafood pasta, which was rustic and satisfying. Tables with candles, more formal than family, though there were people in suits and tee shirts alike. We were underdressed after a long day of driving, but didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. I would go back.

Excellent hand made pasta that is made fresh daily. I’d call this a hidden gem except that everyone in Kamloops knows about it. Getting a table can be a challenge any night of the week unless you show up when they open at 5pm or after 8pm(no reservations). I’d give it five stars but the ambiance could be improved as a portion of the restaurant still holds a sandwich bar that used to be open during lunch. Still, it doesn’t detract from excellent food.
