We had searched Unilocal to find a great breakfast place in Kamloops and Hello Toast was one of the finds. Downtown Kamloops, where finding street parking is a pain, but we did. Walked in to a rather busy place, very small town looking and kind of «folksy» décor kind of modern day hipster style. We ordered coffees(very dark and too allot of cream for it to taste ok), never got to that point — so truth be told didn’t like the coffee. Only 1 server, but she had the whole place under control and service was fantastic. We ordered Egg Benny with bacon that came on frucaccia bread with lost of hollindaise sauce. My son said it was really good, but they over cooked the eggs(they were very closed to hard boiled). I ordered to Sunnyside eggs with sausage and toast it arrived eggs for coach perfectly toast fantastic little on the Burnside the sausage was not breakfast sausage it was more like an old-fashioned dinner German sausage and three Audley cut pieces of it very strange maybe it was a homemade sausage of some kind but it was extremely dense. Now the potatoes that came with both meals — first the cook should be punished for treating a potato(an incredible vegetable) in such a terrible manner — he chopped it up to the point where they were unrecognizable and it was over cooked with some kind of brown stuff that made it taste horrible — worst looking«hash-browns» I’ve ever seen. Horrible. Not sure if I’ll ever return here as there was a long list of other breakfast/brunch restaurants in Unilocal in the Kamloops area that I think I would try.

Cozy little breakfast joint with lots of traffic during breakfast hours. Stopped in on our way through Kamloops. Wasn’t entirely impressed with the service(somewhat lacking and on the slow side), however the food portion size and quality did made up for it. I would be open to trying another restaurant before returning to this one again.

Nice little breakfast spot. Wasn’t my favorite place in kamloops. Service was a bit on the slow side. The atmosphere was casual. I ordered the pleasure toast and just wasn’t as good as I hoped. The bread wasn’t the best and I didn’t enjoy all the toppings that were provided on the plate. For a toast place I expected the best French toast and received subpar French toast. This place has room for improvement.

This is a fantastic little spot. Delicious food. Good atmosphere. That charming little independently run place everyone wants to eat breakfast at. I eat here every time I’m in Kamloops on work and anytime a co-worker with me out here asks where to go for breakfast, I tell them they have to go to Hello Toast. Great staff, great food, healthy food and very reasonable prices. Please keep being awesome.

What an incredible spot for brunch/lunch! 5 mins from the highway, we stopped through on our way to Vancouver. Cozy and welcoming(local art, colourful, family-friendly, involved in community), incredible food(they aren’t kidding when they say world’s best soup!) and outstanding service. They catered to our needs(we were in a rush, and took some food to go) without blinking an eye. I recommend this little beauty to anyone and everyone, definitely better than any of the fast food right along the highway — well worth the few minutes detour, plus it’s on a cute little street!

Funky little spot we found passing through Kamloops on way to Vancouver. Offering huge cups of coffee and and interestingly tastes variety of menu items. Locally sourced goods make for a great dining spot. Obviously popular as the place was packed at 10 am on Sunday.

We happened upon this place during a pass through trip from Calgary to Seattle. Everything about the place, the ambiance-modern day hippy, to the food-creative, caring, respectful and down right tasty were great. The wait staff were kind and attentive. My dish, cayenne was so tasty, I’m going to try and recreate it at home. The only thing that stopped me from giving it five stars were the black flies which chased me indoors.

I had the Iron Man Benny. It was amazing and cooked perfectly. The coffee that went with it was also very good. Atmosphere is friendly and very busy. Place is clean and love the décor.

Stopped by for breakfast during a road trip and fell in love with the place. Friendly staff and quick service, cute artwork and fun names for the meals. I ordered the Ironman Benny and it was delicious. If I’m ever up that way again I will definitely get food there again!

Very friendly, great menu and delicious food in ample amounts. Had the veggie breakfast burrito mexi style and the margharita grill cheese sandwich — both excellent! Highly recommended for breakfast and most likely lunch.

He wants to go eat breakfast so we decided to try Hello Toast. Ambiance: usual breakfast joint kind of feeling. Lots of traffic coming in and going out during breakfast hours. Staff service: 2⁄5. We came in at the same time as 2 other couples. 1 couple decided to sit at the bar since it is available right away and we decided to wait for a table. As we are waiting, we noticed the couple at the bar moved to a table. That was not cool. Once we got seated, our server is nice and attentive. Kitchen service: Ordered at 10:49am and our dishes are here by 10:59am. Cleanliness: the tables are nice and clean. Washroom is OK. Taste: 1) Wild Mushroom Benny(special — $ 13.50) — the combo of bacon bits, sauteed mushrooms, were nice combo. The Hollandaise sauce is creamy but not overpowering. Eggs are way overcooked though(see my picture). Some potatoes chunks were too big and were not cooked thoroughly. 2) Green eggs and ham — too much cheese on eggs, ham is overcooked. The eggs tastes kind of powdery. Portions: Large portions. Almost can’t finish it. Price: Reasonable price for Kamloops and the portion. Conclusion: While this place is good for Kamloops, based on our breakfast experiences around the whole Westcoast, we would rank this place #30 on our list. The overcooked poached eggs was really a disappointment. We will likely not come back again.

For sure one of the best if not the best place in Kamloops for having breakfast. I had the egg Benedict, they where great! They also have lots of vegan options and healthy dishes that actually taste really good They make their own bread which you can taste the difference For sure a good place to go and eat, recommended for sure The only reason I don’t give the 5 stars is because it is always full with people and you have to wait for a bit to be seated

Best place in Kamloops to get breakfast. Usually a pretty busy place so get there early on a weekend. My favourite is the green eggs and ham.

I first learned about Hello Toast here on Unilocal as I was finding a place to eat for brunch for our trip from Vancouver to Calgary. Because one of my friends is a vegetarian, I wanted to find a place with lots of options for him. The atmosphere and décor of Hello Toast was very warm and welcoming. The staff also gave wonderful customer service. There were a few seats out on the patio, and a bunch more inside. When we arrived at 10:30am, they were already packed and had a nice steady stream of customers. I ended up ordering the Chai Tea and the Iron Man Benny. The Chai Tea was really good and warmed me up. The Iron Man Benny is a Benny with tomato, spinach and feta, with a side of roasted potatoes. The whole meal was delicious and I was very full in the end. If I were to pass through Kamloops again(maybe on the way back) I would stop at Hello Toast again.

Consistently good food, this spot never disappoints. Unlike many places which leave me searching for something interesting on the menu, Hello Toast has enough interesting and unique dishes that I have trouble finding which new delicacy I want to try THIS time. Perhaps the best compliment I can give is to say that I order the vegetarian dishes not to avoid meat but rather because they look good. And they always are!
