Union Burger

Wow, does this place ever make a great veggie burger! I had no idea that Union Burger offered a veggie burger, so it was a pleasant surprise to find a really flavourful veggie patty with a soft goat cheese, a thick slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce (not iceberg!) between the buns. Mmmmmm!
I don’t know if it’s just this location or if all Union Burger locations offer this burger, but you’ve gotta try it. It’s a delicious mouthful of YUM.
The onion rings are also quite tasty. Sweet soft onions inside a crispy light batter.
Sorry, I didn’t take any photos, but rather scarfed down my meal. I’ll snap a pic next time. Because there WILL be a next time.
Edited to add: I lied. I went back today and scarfed down another burger without taking a pic. These burgers are just so danged good!

Don’t listen to the people who are saying bad reviews I have tried many burgers and no one comes close to Union Burger it’s the Best out there! and the prices are good too

This was our first trip to a Union Burger. Unfortunately this place is «alright» but nothing to go out of your way for.
The burgers were preformed and could have easily passed for frozen. When you order the burger they ask you what toppings you would like and put these on for you behind the scenes. We would have preferred to see the fresh toppings and choose them after our burger was grilled.
I ordered a cheeseburger and was not asked what type of cheese I wanted.
The bun was nothing special. It was fresh but very ordinary.
The fries were well cooked but again very ordinary.
We expected an awesome experience and what we got was very run of the mill.

This was my first time at a Union Burger so I didn’t know what to expect. Even so, it was pretty disappointing. The onion rings were pretty bad. They were overly crunchy and not very flavourful. Everybody else seems to do it better– Harveys, A&W and even Burger King! I was speculating that it was overcooked but I can’t be sure about that since I don’t have another location to compare it to. The burger was even worse. I got the Peppercorn Goat Cheese burger and it tasted very typical. I barely saw any goat cheese and caramelized onions. It was topped with 95% lettuce and bbq sauce I’d say. The only saving grace was that the patty was pretty thick and not dry. Still it’s overpriced for what you get.

Good burgers but nothing special I would go back but I find it a little pricey for what you get.

Speaking only of the location in Grimsby, I was not impressed. The burger was so small and majorly over priced. The kids meals were literally dripping in grease! Everyone in my family was sick with gut rot after. The ice cream was terrible and the staff was so slow. Crew members didn’t even know their own specials, and seriously had problems operating the pos! what a total let down.

Great burgers. No wifi. Clean interior. Didn’t try ice cream but it looks good. Fries were undercooked. Very slow service. Bring a book…

While out and about we decided to go to union burger as it was right beside the Big Al’s pet shop and we were there getting supplies. I had a burger that had bacon and cheese on it, the burger was tasty and juicy and tasted great. I also had a peanut butter chocolate milkshake which was deadly tasty. My girlfriend ordered a burger as well and got the combo, we loved the French fries, seasoned perfectly and rustic style with skin on them and everything. These were my favorite thing of what we had. Definitely a recommend but I still prefer The Works.

If you love burgers, this is the place to go.
12 bucks for the combo but you get what you pay for. Great tasting, fresh .you just can’t go wrong. Nice people, restaurant is clean.

Awesome burgers! Friendly service. When not busy they will even bring your order right to your table, love that. Made fresh to order takes time but worth the wait.

Good burgers but the prices are a little steep. The chili cheese fries were awesome.

we went in when they first opened and haven’t been able to muster the courage to go back yet. we ordered two burgers and shared an order of fries and onion rings. there was originally a mix up with the order and the individual at the counter handle it very well. he was very courteous and fixed the problem immediately.
the patty itself was pretty dry and lack flavour and the buns were hard and stale. the pineapple on my burger was a little off and gave the entire burger an unpleasant flavour. the fries were also really over salted. to be fair, this was very early on in the beginning, I am hoping they’ve ironed out the kinks by now.

The Bourbon Chicken (hot & spicy), fresh cut fries and a strawberry milkshake with real whip cream were a killer combo. Cheap, delicious and fresh!!!

Union Burger is probably the best new burger and fries joint in Hamilton!
I was hesitant to give Union Burger a try considering most independent/​small burger joints have outrageous prices and dry burgers; though I found Union Burger was an exception.
I had the Mushroom-​Swiss Burger which was to die for. The burger was made to my liking, juicy, and extremely filling. Meanwhile, the side order of fries I had were delicious!!! Not only were the fries homemade, they were lightly seasoned and cooked in peanut oil!
Overall, I would recommend Union Burger to anyone!
