Perfect place with over the top friendly service and a classic diner feeling.
I went here on a Sunday evening with a few friends after a local recommended it. They serve food as well as ice cream and desserts — we came just for ice cream. We were immediately greeted by two employees, who were extremely helpful with recommendations and very social. This is was pleasant because they were genuinely happy to be working and not counting down the minutes until closing.
I had a milk shake which was excellent and after seeing the dessert display I had to try out one of their brownies. It was so tough trying to settle on one thing — I wanted them all. The homemade brownie was absolutely incredible. It’s a miracle I didn’t go back and buy the rest of their desserts.
I was only visiting the area so it was bittersweet leaving, because I knew I wouldn’t be back for a while, but if I lived close by I would probably gain 10 pounds a week from eating here all the time.
It’s a nice little shop where they obviously put service first and the food speaks for itself. I found out later that one of the employees was the owner (incredible to see the owner working on Sunday evening). She informed me that the place is normally packed on weekends — so be aware of that if visiting on a Saturday or Sunday morning/​afternoon.
I will definitely be back to try out the food. My new mission will be to try out their entire menu. Then I can die happy.

Only been here once so far, but had the most delicious breakfast. First can I say though that I’m forever grateful they serve breakfast until 2 PM on weekends. No one needs to be up earlier than that on a Sunday.
I got the breakfast waffle sandwich and it was heavenly. I don’t know how they make their food, but each bite just melted in my mouth. They get their ingredients from local shops too; Cumbraes is literally across the street and Micky McGuire is just a few doors down.
I’ll definitely be back so I can sample every single item on the menu. I haven’t even looked at their ice cream selections yet.

We had walked by this new place in Dundas a couple of times and finally came in for breakfast. What a good decision that was!!! All their ingredients are locally sourced. The portions are generous. The recipes are fantastic. The atmosphere is friendly. The prices are very reasonable. I had the breakfast grilled cheese sandwich served with fresh fruit. The sandwich was made with Micky McGuire cheese, Cumbraes bacon served on fresh grilled cheese bread. Delicious! My husband couldn’t stop talking about his eggs and waffles. Do yourself a favor next time you are looking for a great breakfast in Dundas — go to Jax. Already planning to take my sister there next week.
