A&W

I usually like the A&W restaurants. Good Burgers! But this particular location at 194 King W. is very unusual for an A&W. It’s dingy, unclean, and unfriendly. I’ve been to this location only a few times over the years, to redeem my coupons. Each time I’ve gone in, the staff is VERY unlively (deadpan), rude and unfriendly (in all fairness, the customers seem to be lowlife in this bad location. This can demoralize anyone over time). Every time they’ve prepared a. meal, it’s undercooked and cold. The tables have been unclean EVERYTIME (!). I find this hard to believe its a coincidence. I’ve stopped mentioning it to the staff because it does no good (I shouldn’t have to). And is it me, or are the prices HIGHER in this location? Almost $ 5 for small onion rings… I don’t think so!
Again. This is a VERY unusual situation for an A&W restaurant! All the other ones I’ve been to in malls or stand-​alone restaurants are usually bright, clean, and cheery! A&W should send an inspector to see what’s going on here, or consider relocating this A&W to another area in the downtown– because this place: the staff, the restaurant, and the patrons are rotten and lousy.
