Weird. This is really one of only a few convenience stores near Dalhousie. And yet… It’s clean. It’s well-stocked. It’s not gouging its customers. Its staff are friendly and polite. It’s got decent hours. It accepts DalCard as a form of payment. It has a variety of products. Seriously, this is not how a university-area convenience store should be run. There should be limited hours with cranky staff, dirty floors, offering poor selection at prices marked up to the point of ridiculousness and operating as «cash only.» Get your act together, University Kwik-Way!

I had to pop in here the other day. This place is pretty great for a convenience store. Prices are really on par and sometimes cheaper. The staff here were nice and friendly and I would say have a great disposition. They deals with a lot of students here being so close to Dalhousie.

Better deals than others in the area! University Kwik Way is a great convenience store. They are right beside Dalhousie University and also on a very busy street and bus route in Halifax. The staff have always been nice enough but what I like about this place is that it has everything another convenience store has on the same street but for cheaper prices. I understand that when you are locally owned you have to charge a bit more but this place finds a way to keep their prices down and I bet the University crowd is very thankful for that! They are open late which is great for everyone. I wish they were open twenty four hours but being open late is a good start. My only criticism would be that I have come in from time to time asking for an item. The staff will tell me that they don’t carry that here but also acknowledge that a lot of people ask for that particular item. My suggestion would be, tell the boss. Its kind of an easy way to win points with the customers and shows that the store is trying to cater to the people that come in there the most. But at the end of the day, this is a great store over all. Their selection isn’t as big as a drug store but their prices are more than reasonable and pretty impressive for a locally owned store.
