The food… As expected at a Subway restaurant. The bathroom … Absolutely disgusting.

What do you think the best thing about Subway is? To me it’s unlimited veggies! No, I don’t go crazy, but, I really like black olives. I usually only get lettuce, tomato, cucumber, sometimes hot peppers, and extra black olives; this Subway location took that away from me. Apparently they have a «guide line» to follow and yesterday afternoon I was denied extra olives, even after I offered to pay for them. I mean — you can pay for extra cheese and extra chicken, why couldn’t I pay for extra olives? On the other hand, why should I need to pay extra for them? This is the first time this has ever happened to me and I’ve been a Subway-lover for years and years. I really hate that my favourite«fast food» franchise continually provides bad service. Not a happy customer.

I eat at Subway a couple of times a week, so I feel qualified to comment on the performance of this store. As products go, this location is on par with the others, but that’s where it ends. Unfortunately where they fall down is on the delivery and overall cleanliness of the store. Seems to me this is the worst run location in Halifax(and I’ve been to most of them). Constantly dirty, understaffed, and«out of» something more than enough times for me to specifically avoid this location wherever possible. If that weren’t bad enough, parking in this location’s lot is near impossible. Go to Windsor St/Lady Hammond Rd instead. It’s completely the opposite of the Robie/Macara location. Always clean, professional staff and well stocked.

It’s an ok subway. It gets pretty busy during lunch, which is not good since the place is pretty small. Staff could be friendlier. Apart from what I’ve mentioned, it is just like any other subway.

The below is a copy of the text I just sent to Subway customer service. I expect nothing from them, which is what they’ve been edging closer to in terms of customer service for years, anyhow. Subway’s cost-cutting measures have cost you a customer. I was just in the above listed Subway(Location 10084), and I ordered a Ham and Egg sandwich. The staff was at least polite and professional, but all I got was half an egg round, and one measly slice of ham. I’ve seen restaurants go cheap before, but I have to say I was pretty disgusted by the stinginess of this. I’ve been sceptical of Subway’s commitment to pleasing customers in the past, but this has pushed too far. I won’t be returning to Subway, any subway, again. I’ve made complaints to Subway before about shoddy practices at this and other locations, and nothing has changed. So it’s time I did.
