Don’t let the shabby façade fool you, the pizza here punches way above it’s weight. The real value is the service. The owner actually made me feel like she truly appreciated my business, and really won me over. I’ve never heard anyone say they had anything but a pleasant experience with the food or the owner. Do yourself a favour, throw the flyers for Dominos and Jessy’s in the trash, call this place, and get a good pie and some old school awesome customer service for a change.

Been living in Halifax for 2 years now. Boyfriend and I order pizza usually every weekend. We’ve tried everything here. Recently tried Shadia’s and won’t be going anywhere further. By far the BEST prices in the city. Lots of food for a decent price. Very friendly service every time we go. She is always all smiles. And what sold me is that she’ll make my pizza any way I want it(donair pizza with donair sauce ON it). Best part — you get 5 toppings, not 3, and they are extremely generous with the toppings. Pizza and garlic fingers taste great as well — my fav in the city. I especially like the garlic fingers because they aren’t too thick and they’re nice n greasy(unlike ones you get that are an inch thick and barely any cheese on them so it hardens by the time you take your first bite). Also very generous with their donair sauce. You can tell these people know how to run a business. They don’t serve poor quality food and rob you blind for it. They care about their customers and want you to be happy with your experience there. Love Shadia’s!

Best donairs and even better donairs pizza! This place has very reasonable prices and the food is great. I highly recommended this to anyone looking for pizza in the North End.

Donairs are sacred to Halifax. That, and my donair inexperience(me being a immigrant from the West), makes me feel inadequate to properly review this place. With that disclaimer, if you’re in the North End, Shadia’s(formerly Chad’s Pizza) is where I recommend getting your donairs. They are delicious, filling, and messy(you will need a dork and lots of napkins). The staff is very friendly, and there is a TV or Frank magazine for you while you wait. I cannot rate their other dishes(just keep being drawn back to their donairs), but I am told their steak poutine is delightful. All told, for it’s convenience, tastiness, and friendliness, and perfectly epitomizing a donair shop IMO, Shadia’s gets 5 stars from me.
