Dooly’s

The staff at Dooly’s on portland are hands down the sweetest. Heather and Angela come to mind but they are all very nice. They are always so welcoming of anyone that comes thru the door and it’s no surprise they have so many regulars. If you want to play pool, have a couple beers or just play some vlts this is the «go to place» in Dartmouth.

In a day when everyone plays games on their smart phones and ipads with apps like Draw Something and Words with Friends, your friendly neighbourhood pool hall is just the place you need to escape for some real face-​to-​face game time with your buds.
It’s a large space with plenty of tables occupied by both professional pool sharks and friendly amateurs looking for some fun. You can split a table with your friends on the cheap, which means saving your pennies for the bar. Plenty of beer and some coolers are available, as well as (overpriced) non-​alcoholic drinks for that designated driver. If you’ve got the munchies (keeping track of stripes and solids takes a lot of energy!), they do serve some bar food items like wings and nachos.
This is a great place if you want a great time without needing to leave Dartmouth, be it for a fun date or just to get together with friends in an offline environment. If you’re coming with a group and want to make sure you have a table or even get catering, you can always call ahead or go online to book your party.

It’s pretty much what I want in a pool hall: I can play quietly by myself or boisterously with my friends. Both are accepted.
This location (like most pool halls, really) is dimly lit but the lights over the table should deflect that from impacting your game.
Prices on drinks are reasonable, not great. Staff have always been very friendly and laid back.
