Our couch is in a bad way. Don’t get me wrong, we haven’t exactly been good to her — but she’s got a few pen stains, and water stains from trying to remove the pen stains, and then there’s the cat — let’s not even discuss the cat’s involvement. Suffice to say, she needed a spa treatment. I saw these guys on one of those deal sites and contacted them. They responded offering to honour the deal even though I hadn’t purchased it. When I replied to book something, I heard nothing. A month or so later I got a response — apparently my email had ended up in their spam box. They were prompt to respond after that, and when I provided my number they called to book an appointment. The guy on the phone was friendly, no complaints there. He did give me a long spin about how water stains are due to the PH balance being changed in the couch(yeah — read that again, then remember everything you learned in chemistry class). But they were giving me a pretty good deal — $ 59 for my sectional, plus free scotchguarding to prevent future stains. I booked the appointment for 9:30AM on Monday. I got a call at 8:20 on Monday — the guy thought the appointment was between 8:30−9, and he was early. I hadn’t even showered and gotten dressed yet, so I asked him to come at the agreed upon time of 9:30 — it seems the man I spoke to on the phone didn’t communicate the time properly, but no big deal. The cleaner guy came up with his large vacuum-thingy on wheels and his odds and ends, I showed him the couch, and left him to it. Half way through his phone was ringing, and he answered it. He took a personal call while in my home during an appointment! Who does that?! When he was finished I noticed my entire floor was covered in water(or whatever he used to clean the couch). I have hardwood, and I didn’t know if there were chemicals in the liquid that werent good for the hardwood. When he left it took me 30 mins to mop up the mess, which left a trail all the way out the door. Now that the couch has dried I can properly say that there is absolutely no difference. None of the stains are gone — not even the water marks. So really, I spent $ 60 and a couple hours of my time on nothing that a quick vacuuming couldn’t have taken care of. I’ve seen other upholstery services show amazing before and after photos on their websites — and I don’t think our stains are anything out of the usual, so I’m not sure I would recommend this particular service for upholstery.

I saw his offer on living social and sent him and email. He responded back to me only after a week and spoke with me as of he was doing me a favour by still honouring his deal price as it had expired. We had fixed am appointment for the following day. I called him 1 hour prior to the service, he didn’t even remember my name or who I was, he made the excuse of his office manager quitting who failed to enter my appointment in his system. As me to wait for 20 mins and said he would call back. But no calls. I called him back and he pretended to forget my name and who I was and said I was calling him for a job … People beware ! Just amazed by this person !
