Pacini was a disappointment for a restaurant that is buzzing during the summer time. It seems that during their down time the food standards seem to take a fall like the weather.

Went for dinner on a Sunday night around 5.30pm. Wasn’t that busy but sure was filling up just before we left. Loved the garlic bread bar. Could have just eaten that alone! Careful not to fill up on bread though(its hard as its delish!) as the portions here are a good size(we both had pasta dishes). The bread bar was however surrounded by kids, taking quite a while to spread their butters, taking up all the space and taking over the grill. This could maybe be managed a little better. Like that most of the dishes come with soup or salad to start included in price. My pasta wasn’t as hot as I’d of liked. It was warm, not hot. Boyfriend couldn’t finish his so took leftovers home. Service was good and attentive. Only thing that bothered me is that my boyfriend speaks french and I don’t. Our server knew this as i said at the start but she continued to only speak french. It wasn’t a big deal and after all we were in Gatineau, but its something that always bothers me if the server can in fact speak English too.

My spouse and I went to this restaurant for my birthday. I was very impressed by the gluten free pasta and bread I ordered. The waiter went out of his way to make sure that everything was gluten free and brought me my very own sauces to dip the bread. On top of that, I ended up receiving a discount for my meal which corresponded to my age! I can’t wait until I am a hundred!
