By far the worst costumer service I have yet to experience at a store. It took at least ten minutes to even figure out who was working there as all of the sales clerks were wearing you’re typical pullover sweater and pants outfit, which made them blend in with the other patrons. Then, when I finally was able to decipher who worked there, I asked the sales associate what I needed, which were a pair of skates. He then proceeds to direct me to a pair of hockey skates, without asking any questions about what kind of skates I wanted, hands them to me to try on and then disappears, never to be seen again. After trying them on and determining that they were not the skates I wanted, I was already quite irritated and left shortly after. It’s great to have a store that is more affordable than your main stream sports outlets but the costumer service I experienced made it so I would never set foot in that store again.

Great service at this place! Wow, just talk loud enough to be heard over the din of over-dressed people sweating it out finding the best of a specific size skate or length of snowboard or ski. This should be your first stop if you would like to experiment with any kind of sport since the staff is knowledgeable and used to dealing with first timers. Silly questions won’t bother them, they are accustomed to it. Prices are very reasonable and they take trade-ins of your old gear. At least they will take their used gear back the next day or the next season if you want to trade up or get a different size. Then you will only pay the difference and help support the store with renewed stock, a very cool idea! So there you go — no excuses when someone says, ‘Let’s go skating!’

Great place for second hand sports equipment and deals on new stuff from last season. I’ve gotten kids skates here, had my own sharpened and baked, and they’ve been friendly, knowledgeable and not tried(too hard) to upsell me. I’ll definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

There are a few Play it Again Sports stores around town, but I’m surprised there aren’t more. If you’re an amateur on a budget and you’d like to get a deal on some serviceable(though used) equipment and don’t care about brand, it’s a good option. I was here recently to pick up some tennis racquets. The staff were helpful without hovering, which is the balance I’m always hoping for in any retail experience. The pickings for adult racquets happened to be slim(I needed two and they had exactly that), but it makes sense that they would have more used junior sizes, since that’s the sort of thing kids grow out of.
