Went with a date, he had a burger with fries and i had chicken stirfry, we split an order of «cheesy jalapeño bread». Ok the cheese jalapeño bread? It was exactly that, it was like half a submarine bun with some canned tomato sauce, a few rings of pickled jalapeño and some shredded cheese. I could make that for $ 2, it was way more than that. My stirfry was disappointing. My date didn’t much enjoy his burger, but I had a couple of fries and they were average pub fries. The one redeemable thing is there is a TON of seating. So of you just want to go sip a pint with a friend, you will always find a table. Just don’t wait for the server ha-ha, go to the bar.

This bar is the worst bar of Etobicoke. I worked here briefly and they cook with no regulations. If u order wings expect them to cool down on a tray on a greasy floor… Everything about this place is dirty… The service doesn’t even realize how horrid they are which is just sad. Never eat here! They are gross and stupid to think there service is even average! I’m not one to say a bar is beyond crap and expect food poisoning after eating here. But I am warning you!!!

So my waitress spilled beer on my boots. I went«ahh!» as it spilled out of the pitcher she was holding and she looked over and said«what?». When I alerted her to the fact that she was pouring beer on my boots she said«Oh» and moved. ??? No sorry??? In addition to that, what kind of sick, twisted bar/restaurant sells Caesars without any garnishes? No pickles, olives, peppers, or even celery. Just a sad, lonely lemon slice wishing it were never grown. And although I’m usually one for spice, I ordered a mild… ANDNEARLYCHOKEDONHOWHOTITWAS. Their fish and chips were pretty good, but messing up a Caesar is the unforgivable sin and no matter how good the fish was, it can’t make up for that. I went for karaōke, which is supposed to start at 10pm. When 10 came, I went over to the karaōke area but there was not one there to take song requests. I went back to my table and waited while choking down my miserable Caesar. Around 10:30 I looked again and still no one was there. I went and stood next to where the guy was supposed to be and saw him off talking to a table of girls. First of all sir, they were way out of your league. Secondly, your job is to take song requests and run karaōke so why wouldn’t you be doing it? I had to wait and flag him down to make a request. Who knows how long it would have been before karaōke started if I hadn’t made him start? I find everything here is very overpriced considering the area it’s in(next to an inexpensive apartment complex). I’ll be looking for another karaōke bar in Etobicoke or venturing downtown next time.

It is what it is: a chain pub and a rather divey one at that. But what can I say? I have a soft spot in my heart for it because it’s so close to where I live. Also the staff are really friendly and actually really make an effort to talk to you and get to know you if you are a return customer. The food is average and overpriced overall, but it’s par for the course with other Foxes. The breakfast specials served until 4pm are a great value and generous portions are served up. They also have a $ 6.99 burger and fries special on Wednesdays. Which brings me to this bar’s real selling point: the specials. Every night of the week they have a drink special so if you want to go to the pub but are on a tight budget, come to the Fox and your wallet will thank you. For as much as they push the beer specials, which are usually some form of Molson Canadian, it’s surprising just how many great beers they actually have on tap. TVs are all over the joint including a big screen, so it works great as a sports bar too. They have karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s not the greatest but the host is good and it’s a fun diversion. A Fox is a Fox is a Fox, but this one has a certain charm that the staff and owners(and the regulars) bring that take it to the next level. I’m really feeling a strong 3 or 3.5 on this one. Be forewarned though. This place is located near community housing and is one of the few bars in the area that stays open right to legal closing time, so it attracts some questionable individuals. I’ve witnessed a few fights take place, so don’t bring young’uns or family after 10 or 11pm.

Typical pub. I am a frequent guest only because I work in the industry myself and finish later than most from work. Their hours are great for industry people. Also I live near by. Service is never above mediocre. The girls don’t seem to be educated about the menu or their drinks. Nonetheless they were friendly so their lack of knowledge was not a big deal. However the manager was very bitter. I had gone there with my boyfriend and his little brother(16 years old) on Halloween night around 11:00pm. It was close to home and still serving decent food. We wanted to eat and have a drink or two to accompany our meal. The server refused us service but she was nice about it because we had someone underage with us. The server had mentioned laws against serving anyone alcohol after a certain time which I’ve never heard of. We asked to speak with the manager. The manager was in the server uniform, could not take her seriously. She had brought out their house rules and they couldn’t serve underaged guests after 9pm. Completely understandable but she was very rude about it. They also kept us waiting for awhile to only tell us that. If we were told in the beginning we would have understood and left right away. Working in the industy I only appreciate great service and that was not applied.

Came to this bar to celebrate a friend’s birthday a few weeks ago, and the service was awful. I had to place my drink order several times with our waitress before she remembered to bring it, and the caesar salad I ordered had rotted pieces of lettuce(how hard is it to pick out the brown pieces from a bag of mixed ice berg lettuce?). A friend ordered wings, and they were nothing but fat. On a positive note, someone from the group said the fish and chips were tasty as well as the gravy for their fries. Also they had a mixed drink special that night, where drinks were about $ 4.50

Ok. Beef dip sandwich is my standard for a new place. It was ok. Beef was cold and rather sparse. Not a home run but not a strike out. Beer is cold. Game is on. Good job. But room for improvement.

This place is a dive and people should avoid it at all costs. The service is awful and the food is terrible. Sadly, that’s not the worst part. On Friday and Saturday nights the place is usually filled with a wide array of sketchy(for lack of a better word) clientele. The last time I was there I witnessed someone smash a beer glass on somebody’s face. Sufficed to say I’ll never be going back. EVER.

On our return visit we sat outside in the setting sun on the larger rear patio. Overall vibe was pleasant, server was efficient, food was acceptable and the beer was cold. My wife’s wine glass was dirty and her fish and chips were over-breaded and disappointing. Not a scenic view — but one of the only patio options in the area. Several small tables with a patio set in the corner for the first to arrive! Good place to meet with some friends, especially smokers.

Thank you for the wonderful experience at your location! Came out last week for a few drinks and some appy’s and felt so welcomed and experienced great service. They had a promotion going on to up size your drink, of course we took advantage of it. Our waitress was great at her job, attentive and so funny. We tried some of their newer dishes… highly recommend the Kettle Chips with dip and the Buffalo Chicken Poutine… we had 2!

I enjoy singing at the Fox & Firkin when I am in Toronto, I am usually at the Navy Club in Brantford, Ontario every Friday night. It is a much slower and older crowd.

Been here three times– the food is mediocre but the service is great. The wings are fatty and even after ordering them well done are soft and gummy. Tasted a little like curry. No idea why. The patio in the back is good– I’d come for a beer and maybe a nibble. But not a dinner or actual meal.

Nothing special about this Fox & Fiddle. Probably wouldn’t go if I didn’t live up the street. That being said, I still love this place. It’s the local watering hole. Friday and Saturday nights are karaōke nights and you’ll always see familiar faces. The 1 fooseball table and 2 pool tables. The waitresses are pretty efficient and nice even when the place is packed. The owners are usually out on the floor working and making sure everything is running smoothly and chatting up the regulars, which I think is pretty good. There’s a front patio and back patio which really come in handy in the summertime. Food is decent. Don’t expect anything gourmet. It’s typical bar food. Will definitely return for a few beers, some pool and to do some karaōke in my God awful singing voice :)

Got served this time… sadly the shitty rating stays. The food was gross! The vegetarian spring rolls and the Potstickers were disgusting. They have a pool table which is cool but they have tables all around it making it virtually impossible to play a game without taking a few strangers out with a pool cue! I am so disappointed
