Swimco

The Kingsway location of Swimco is really great! Bathing suit shopping is one of my least favourite activities. After trying several other stores, I ended up at Kingsway — primarily because Bay Days was going on and I thought I would find something there. Wrong. So I started wandering the mall and with pretty low expectations, I ventured into Swimco. I had already been to the Southgate location and was treated pretty poorly, so the bar was set low.
I was greeted by the smiling Caitlyn within moments of walking in the door and I asked her where the plus sized suits were. She asked me a couple of follow up questions to learn a little more about what I actually needed. Beach or Swimming Pool? Lane Swimming or Soaking up the sun? She pointed me in the right direction when I told her I was looking for something to take with me on my beach vacation and made a couple of suggestions.
She checked in on me a few times, answered questions and made suggestions. She was obviously trying to upsell accessories and cover ups, but wasn’t overly pushy about it. When I was trying the suits on, Caitlyn was sure to always be close by and I really felt like she was giving me her honest opinions.
Much to my surprise, I found not one, not two, but THREE suits that I absolutely loved and was sad when I had to whittle that down to only 2. But I’m very happy with my purchase.
While the prices are more than I would like to pay, I think they are pretty average for what you get. And there is always lots of items on sale.
