This must be the worst experience I have ever had at a hair salon. So it was my first time going into Regis Salon in Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre. I told Seana who claims to be the manager that I only want highlights in my hair and nothing else. I had a little bit of highlights in my hair already prior to this visit. So when she foiled my hair, she left it on for way to long. When it came down to brushing my hair, she had burnt my hair and everytime she brushed it, a handful of hair would always be on the brush and on the floor. She knew she had made a big mistake but continued to brush my hair as nothing had happened. The parts of hair where she had applied the dye to was burnt and was falling right off! I told her to stop brushing my hair before she could do any further damages. This was a very bad first impression. I asked her what she had done to my hair and her answer was, «I dont know».She is the manager! how can a manager make that big of a mistake?! My hair ended up being thinner, shorter and weaker! My hair is really important to me. I could not brush my hair because, everytime i did, it would just fall off. I was standing in the mirror for hours mourning my hair. I was really upset, scared and angry that I had to call the head office and make a complaint. I told them that I wanted compensation for my damages or else I would have to file a lawsuit. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who really cares about they’re hair. And Seana the manager should be fired or demoted because clearly she doesn’t know how to do simple highlights. 0 out of 5 stars.

I just moved to Edmonton, and obviously the first thing I needed to do was get my hair looked after! I went to Regis simply because I needed my hair done soon and couldn’t wait a couple weeks to get into one of the more highly rated salons. The experience was good, but not great. The colour was nice, but not what I had wanted(there was also a bit of hair at the back that wasn’t rinsed) Having curly hair I was worried about the cut, but it was well done. She didn’t dry/style it very well, but after I left I went to the washroom and fixed it myself. She also wasn’t very chatty, and I felt odd carrying on the conversation by myself. I’m satisfied with the overall result, but probably won’t be making a return visit.

I have been going to see Tracey @ Regis for a few years now. I didn’t realize how much I would miss her when she went on Maternity leave! I can’t bring myself to let anybody else cut my hair :( It’s not a fancy place — there’s no big bells or whistles. but they do a damn good job. Tracey knows my hair better than I do, as it should be. I can’t wait for her to come back so I can get a haircut finally! Prices are reasonable and it’s usually pretty easy to get an appointment when you want it.
