Redemption Boutique

This is my favourite clothing store in Edmonton, and not only because of the clothes. The owner, Tracy, is the epitome of customer service. The first time I was in the shop, the strap on my bag broke. Tracy actually took it and sewed it back together (she’s a seamstress, and does work in the back of the shop). She didn’t even pressure me to buy anything, although she did point out their selection of purses and bags. Another time, a dress I wanted was sold out in my size, so she sold me a size bigger and took it in to my size at no extra cost. She remembers me every time I come in, and asks about friends who have come in with me. She is always willing to help pick out items for particular events, or whatever I’m shopping for at the time.
Their selection of alternative and pin-​up fashion is incredible. They carry similar brands and product to Rowena on Whyte Ave, and are actually a sister store of Sanctuary, but their prices are dramatically better than the other two.
The atmosphere and décor are fun and very on-​brand. It is a small store, so the selection sometimes takes a little longer to change, but that doesn’t take away from the overall experience.

Intimate shop, only reason not 5 star small inventory, but that’s just fine! I’m only worried my size will always be gone, gone, gone. Lol.

I absolutely adore this little shop. Filled to the brim with alternative and retro-​style clothing, you are guaranteed a fun shopping experience. The staff is so kind and helpful and the selection of sizes is fantastic. I really appreciate the in-​house alterations and repairs that are offered. I brought in a handmade dress I found and Tracey was able to make it fit perfectly. She also ordered a dress for a friend, calling around to all the distributors and shops she could think of, so my friend could get it before a wedding. And, they sometimes give out fortune cookies!
