I have never had a problem with Press’d. The sandwiches I’ve had have always been fresh, hot and have a delicious crispness that I love in regards to the bread. The soup? You must try the Tomato Basil. It’s absolutely excellent! Warm, and comforting with a great flavor. It is a little pricey, but worth it once in a while for a great sandwich.

Apparently the soups are NOT Gluten Free! I’ve been eating that loaded baked potato soup for quite a while after being told it was safe. :-(uh-oh.(It IS delicious though… if you can eat it!)

Press’d is a great option if you’re looking for a quick meal. Healthier than the usual fast food outlets and quite tasty. Sandwiches are fresh tasting. The only downside is the use of deli meat but I guess that is to be expected. The Jasper Ave location is always quick and is in a neat little space.

So good!!! Their sandwiches are healthy and delicious! They also have an amazing broccoli salad! A great lunch alternative if your norm is fast food. You won’t be disappointed!

Press’d is one awesome sandwich place and a nice change to the usual sub shops I usually like to hit up for my sandwich cravings. They have such a great selection of sandwich creations that I always have a hard time choosing which one I want to try. Their dough is handmade in house daily plus they bake the breads daily too. The freshness of their products is top notch and to top it off this business is a made in Edmonton success story of a couple of young entrepreneurs. Also if you are celiac they have kinnikinnick bread for you, which is amazing GF bread itself if you haven’t tried that yet. I would highly recommend Press’d if you have a craving for a fresh sandwich. Skip the usual sub place for once and give this a try. You will be hooked!

had my eye on this place for awhile and finally decided to try. it’s a cozy little shop that’s got a nice seating area if you’re looking to get out of the office. the main lobby where you order and wait if you’re taking your sandwich to go is small and I imagine can get a little crowded during lunch rushes. they offer a great variety and have a bakery in house. it all seems to be made fresh daily along with the cookies, soups and salads. I ordered the California club and asked with no guacamole, which they obliged. the sandwich was delicious and tasted just like homemade. there is a bit of confusion with the idea of «pressed». the sandwich you can tell has been quickly hot pressed but just enough to grill the bread a little. they do offer sandwiches, as you can see on the menu, that are more of a grill press like a Panini if that’s more what you like. the staff seem very shy and soft spoken and keep to themselves. the women at the till was taking her time so if you’re a very impatient person this might frustrate you. I had ordered a salad as well but she didn’t input it and the line was too long that I didn’t want to get back in and reorder it. they weren’t rude by any means but not overly welcoming either. it wasn’t much of a wait for my sandwich and really don’t have much to complain about this place. the food is worth going back for. it was delicious.

I love pressed sandwiches ans sprots so thought for sure this would be a fave of mine. Ordered«the clucker» on wheat and asked to get sprouts added. The picture of this sandwich did not show it pressed so I asked for it to be in pressed and he told me they all were hence the name. He had no reason why it wasn’t in the picture. Lol I got my sandwich and as per other reviews it was hardly pressed and did not have the sprouts I requested… That was dissipointing. Overall it was OK. I would go back and try another sandwich but not impressed yet.

This is becoming our de facto work lunch spot, whenever we need to order in lunch for the office. That may be because the selection of sandwiches and soups means everyone will get something they want, but the sandwiches are also top notch which certainly helps. The option of throwing my sandwich on rye is also a nice touch. You can’t get rye bread at just any sandwich shop.

I wasn’t overly impressed by what I got. The bread wasn’t grilled very much but maybe that’s my personal tastes. The sandwich was quite big for the $ 8.60 price tag but that’s not the most important thing. I may end up going again since I am in that area often but I probably wouldn’t recommend anyone to go.

Having worked downtown for more than 2 decades, I am always looking for new lunch spots. Press’d offers pressed sandwiches — paninis if you will. They have an interesting menu and I was surprised to see that they have a(copy-cat) version of my most favourite sandwich ever, being Earl’s Chicken, Brie and Grilled Apple sammie. I should have known better than to try this impostor but live and learn, so they say. The sandwich wasn’t bad and if I had first tried it here at Press’d and not had it many, many times at Earl’s I probably would have thought it was quite good. Sadly, I have had it many, many times at Earl’s and Press’d’s(is that proper grammar?) version just didn’t measure up. The service and price were fine and I imagine a lot of their other sandwiches are quite good. I would lunch there again.

Like sandwiches? Then you should probably check this place out. It’s getting three stars because I’m not a big sandwich fan and for $ 9, there are other places that I could good hot meal that I would enjoy more. There are many sandwiches to chose from with fresh ingredients and different combinations of them. If you want just bologna sandwich, this isn’t the place to get one. I had the full sized golden bear with chicken, brie, apples, spinach, and fig jam. I haven’t had chicken with apple in a sandwich before and there were more apple in it that I expected. It wasn’t a bad combo, but not something I would eat frequently. Full size is good if you are hungry but half the sandwich could be enough for some. There’s ample seating downstairs and upstairs, as well as outside and also washrooms upstairs and a wheelchair accessible one just inside the front door.

Fabulous, fresh sandwiches and the potato soup is to die for. This is a hidden gem in the city and not just another sandwich shop. You will not be disappointed with anything you order here. Clean shop, friendly staff and made to order food. I’m glad I work nearby and have made it a regular lunch place.

I have this weird thing where I love sandwiches but I hate paninis. I don’t understand it, and you shouldn’t try to, either. I was planning to meet a girlfriend for Friday lunch somewhere downtown and she suggested Press’d. I’d never been and I love having something new to Unilocal about, so I went with it. Even though they call them sandwiches, let’s get real, these are basically paninis. Especially when they don’t have lettuce. Luckily, I found one that came with lettuce and tomato — the club. I picked the rye bread. I gotta say, I’m pretty impressed that they make their own bread daily. My sandwich came out pretty quickly, all things considered(they were fairy busy, it being 1230 on a Friday and all). My sandwich was good, the meat was very tasty, and the bread kicked ass, but the problem with putting lettuce and tomato in a «hot sandwich»(panini!) is that it just doesn’t work. Burnt lettuce is not cute. Healthier and fresher than many of the downtown lunch options, but it’s not going to be my go-to.

The sandwiches are truly delicious, so if this was just about food I would give 5 stars… except the first time I went here, they messed up my friend’s order and we didn’t even notice until we were home because we took the sandwiches to go. It wasn’t even busy so I’m not sure why the mess up happened. The second time I visited everything went off without a hitch, but the sandwich and service was lacklustre. I like that Press’d was started by two UofA alum, so I feel like I’m eating local even if the store has a franchise-feel(and it is a chain, now isn’t it?). Don’t hesitate to drop in if you want something quick and delicious, but don’t come expecting anything life-changing either.

This is Press’d’s second location in Edmonton. Located along busy Jasper Avenue, I have seen lineups here extending onto the sidewalk. The restaurant itself is an excellent use of space, with two levels — the ordering counter is on the main one, and upstairs is an ample dining area. I had a half order of The Bird, which is what I had when I went to their main location in City Centre Mall, and it was served up to me quickly(I went at an off hour, though). There was as much smoked turkey, avocado, sprouts, and mayo as I expected, and I still have to say that their half sandwiches are enough for anyone with a normal appetite. Convenient, economical, and delicious, Press’d is a great choice for lunch on a busy downtown day.

I have had my eye on this location ever since I first saw the sign go up. I was excited to have a great sandwich shop in the neighbourhood. I saw it was open last week and decided to check it out today. I ordered half the Buenna Bella sandwich, with portabella mushrooms, basil pesto, spinach, cucumber, basil, sprouts on focaccia bread. Since I was only ordering the«half» sandwich, I got the combo with a side Greek salad. The sandwich was humongous; I wondered if they had made a mistake and given me a whole sandwich. Oh, but it was good with nice flavours which complimented each other well. The salad had a little too much dressing for my taste, but was still quite yummy. It wasn’t the best sandwich combo ever, but a definite step up from Subway. Press’d is a welcome addition to the Oliver neighbourhood. And the place gets bonus points for asking if I were vegetarian and then offering to clean the grill where meat had previously been cooked before making my sandwich. I told them this wasn’t necessary, but I appreciated them asking.
