This Moxie’s is the first one I ever visited and is probably the one I visit most often still. The service is solid whether you are in the dining room or lounge and their menu is large enough that there are always options for everyone. Drink specials are always great and the food is almost always on point. When I was here with some friends we were misinformed about the toppings on the nachos and due to the misunderstanding we received a coupon for a free appetizer the next time that we were in, which is awesome. There’s really not a lot to say that hasn’t been said about Moxie’s. It’s great food, reasonably priced with good service. You can’t go wrong.

Finally had the kale and quinoa salad that I had been people have been raving about. They were right! It’s fabulous! Have it with a glass of chilled white!

I love moxies. The décor is nice, but it’s still a casual atmosphere. You could sit in the lounge for a nice adult night out or date, or you can bring the kids and sit in the dining room, or anything in between, and feel completely in place either way. I’ve never been unhappy with a menu item or the service, and as far as chain restaurants go, this one tops my list!

I have had a real love/hate relationship with Moxies over the years. I stopped going all thogether at one point because they could never seem to get it right. Then I realized… I was *always* ordering the same thing. Everytime we went, I would order a steak and not once was it ever cooked correctly. Not once in about 3 years, going 2 — 3 times a year. However, I will give them this, they were usually good about correcting the issue. So I decided to go back and give them another chance and order something different. I tried a few things. The Turkey Club is pretty good, the Broccoli cheese super is really great. I tried the beef dip once and it was just okay. And then I found it. My own Kryptonite… The Steak Salad. They never have a hard time getting the small amount of steak to the right temperature, it’s always perfect. And the goat cheese is out of this world. Now when I go in, I don’t even look at the menu… this is my go-to item and I actually find myself craving it if I go too long without it. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the blondie brownie. We’ve even been known to take it to go and eat it at our desks for a little pick me up. But they also have a pistachio crème brule featured for summer right now. If you get a chance, you have to try this. It’s amazing. They’ve won me back, big time.

They must have new cooks as the food quality has gone downhill. The beef dip was really a slab of bread and had me asking where’s the beef and didnt have the horseradish as per the menu. The Caesar salad was dry. The broccoli cheese soup was cold. Only the beer was good. Staff were pleasant. Decore is modern but dark I side. But it should be all about the food.

This restaurant is amazing. I have been going to moxies for at least 5 years for my birthday and as many times as I could go throughout the rest of the year. I can tell you I have tried the majority of the menu, I noticed they change their menu a few times a year, which is a sad thing to see old items I loved go but they always seem to replace them with an even better dish! The service is excellent, most of their servers are very aware of their menu items and most do engage in conversation with me rather than just go through the robotic motions. I noticed a lot of people complain about the dim lighting, but they do this so people can feel relaxed and enjoy their experience at their own table and not feel like they’re under the microscope the whole time. The steaks are amazing, the sandwiches are innovative and well done and their appetizers and desserts are TODIEFOR! Moxies has a good variety of food on their menu, everything from Asian, to Indian, to American to Italian and everywhere else, I thoroughly enjoy e cleanliness and accountability they have. Also, on a side note for the foodies reading this, many reviews have been written about the most popular moxies in edmonton, west edmonton mall. And they are almost all entirely negative. I have not eaten at that one particularly for that reason, so I can’t offer a personal review on that location but I can tell you every moxies has their own manager and their own set of staff and rules. Please give the other moxies locations a try before deciding you will not choose moxies for a night out!

Moxies is a bit on the pricier side, but I can’t argue with their food, especially their steaks! Service is generally quick and the venue is clean and cozy looking. Service can be hit or miss. Most of the time I receive good service, but several weeks ago my group and I got the most unpleasant waitress ever! To be fair, I’ve gone back there and gotten great service, so I don’t hold it against them.

Well yes just ok… its the same thing when it comes to these restaurants, they all look the same and the food tastes the same. Sure its good for a date or something but Im not saying Hey lets go to moxies tonight when people ask where we should go. Not my first choice but not my last.

I hadn’t been to Moxies in years. The other day my friend and I were driving around trying to think of a different place we could go to eat — we saw Moxies and decided to give it a try. We sat in the lounge. The décor was nice — kind of the standard, dark, contemporary décor I am starting to notice in the more trendy restaurants. Their service was average — nothing special but not particularly poor. This time it was the food that was where it was at. I ordered the Salmon dish and found the salmon was cooked perfectly and the portions were huge! I sometimes find restaurants dress up a Salmon fillet with a lot of filler but this was not the case here. The broccoli cheddar soup was delicious!!! I honestly can’t even believe how much food I ate — it was just THAT great! I had a really enjoyable experience here and will definitely be back to give it another try sometime!

Server was great for starters, bless her soul. The manager did his usual cliché«sorry your meal did not turn out» spiel. I ordered my favorite meal for years — Chicken tenders in buffalo sauce. ITs too bad the other Moxies understand this simple process of deep frying for only a couple mins and pour sauce on. No naked chef needs to master this skill. However they made my so hard and gross and over fried twice! I have a pic on my phone I will post somewhere. So sad that I will associate this place with bad cooking. Keep passing by this eatery and try south common or something. PS — the manager did not come by after they screwed up twice. That says alot!

Since the rebranding of Moxie’s, the restaurant has given up it’s family diner feel for something more sophisticated and suave. On our visit, I brought my family tothis restaurant and we were pleased by the service we were given. The staff were professional and courteous and made sure our drinks were full and that everything was to our satisfaction without being overbearing or pushy. The food was well presented and we were allowed to customize the dishes without any fuss from the kitchen or wait staff. We enjoyed our stay at this restaurant where the food was good and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend this location to others.

Hit and miss for sure. This location seems to be particularly up and down. I’ve had delicious, sensational meals and fantastic service, but I’ve also felt like they’ve forgotten about us completely, had them forget to bring part of my meal, and been brought stuff that was completely inedible. My «favourite» experience was with my parents when they came to visit. My mum ordered the special, a pasta with crab, I ordered the beef vindaloo, a dish I’d ordered and enjoyed about half a dozen times before. The vindaloo was so over-spiced I couldn’t eat it and sent it back in favour of the special. This was when we figured out that no, it didn’t just seem like my mother’s dish was light on the crab, they actually hadn’t included it at all. That said, we went there at least a dozen times and most of the time it was fairly good. As chains go, this particular location seems to be more miss than hit when compared to other locations of the same chain.

Moxie’s has mediocre food and mediocre service. It’s not horrible but it’s not amazing either. The décor is almost too trendy, trying too hard to be «hip». It’s one of those restaurants with no consistency. Sometimes the food is «meh», sometimes the food is good. Same goes for the service.

Moxie’s has definitely changed over the years. Since their complete image and menu makeover, this has become one of my favourite restaurants. The inside of this restaurant is very modern and trendy, but you can totally dress casual. It’s dimly lit with soft lights hanging over the tables. You know the washrooms are an important part of any establishment, and these washrooms are fancy! There’s a fireplace in the washroom, which is kind of gimmicky I guess, but I completely buy into it. Moxie’s menu is really great. The chicken burgers are the best, and I usually get this with a salad that usually comes with dried cranberries and a yummy vinaigrette dressing. My absolute favourite item to order here are the avocado spring rolls. These are so incredibly good. They have just the right amount of spice to them, and are they ever good! Wait, I already said that, didn’t I? But they really are so good! If I could come here every day for those spring rolls, I would.
