I have had the chicken souvlaki and the falafel… I really don’t know which one I like best. And definitely try the iced tea. It is the bizzomb!

I love the Little Village Food Truck. It’s one of the few eateries(either stationary or mobile) that I know I can get delicious food and great service every single time. They have the Greek classics like roast lamb and lemon potatoes, and not-so-classic items like the Kefteddy burger and homemade Eatmore bars. In addition to their lunch service, they are usually at the 124 street market on Thursday evenings where they also serve saganaki(deep fried cheese on a stick). If you’re feeling adventurous, throw caution to the wind and treat yourself to an off-menu Greek poutine. It’s lemon potatoes topped with roast lamb, saganaki and tzatziki. You can thank me later. If that’s not enough, in addition to the food, the service is some of the friendliest in town. Theo and Kristin are always smiling and seem genuinely happy to see you.

Little Village is very good for a local food truck. Their lamb is cooked expertly, and I know my lamb. If they can keep the prices for their lamb dishes under ten bucks without skimping on quantity, then this is where your food dollar should go, my fellow meatatarian food truck patrons. Recommended.

Wow! I have always considered going here but hasn’t until recently. I had the«lambwhich» and my friend the slow roasted lamb and potatoes. The lamb was tender and succulent, the pickled cabbage on the sandwhich, combined with a mint pesto to add a great hit of acidity to the lamb. As for the roasted lamb, the tatziki was fantastic. I can’t say enough about how good this was, and I can’t wait to go back. A very pleasant surprise among an Edmonton food truck scene that in my opinion, has lacked creativity and variation.

Get me to the Greek! The Little Village has the best falafel in the city. Prior to tasting their version, I thought falafel was dry, mealy, and greasy. Not so. The Little Village’s falafel is so smooth and creamy on the inside, and just crunchy enough on the outside. It’s served on a soft pita with tzaziki sauce, purple cabbage and onions(the onions I could do without, but that’s my personal taste). The Little Lamb-burger is yummy as well, though the chunks of lamb could be quite a bit smaller(and a bit gamier — I’m not sure why so many folk eschew gamey meat), but it’s juicy, tender, and really, lamb deserves so much more attention. Another solid component of Edmonton’s food truck scene.
