What can I say? It’s an average liquor store. It is clean and well organized, which was good seeing as it’s brand new. It’s pretty standard. They don’t carry a lot of craft beers or artisan wines, but I wouldn’t expect that from a Liquor Depot. There were a few things we managed to pick up that we’d never tried before(a ginger beer and a few flavors of Bad Hare), but our main reason for stopping is convenience. It’s within walking distance from our house, so it’s easy to run out and grab something if we need it. I don’t drink, but I do use booze in my cooking(mmmmm… vodka sauce) so having the store close by is great. My fiancé does drink, and while some of the stuff he likes can be found here, some of it can not. The kid working the last time we were in was less than attentive and I would not have wanted to ask him anything about wine(although that’s be judging a book by it’s cover. He could be a secret wine savant). He was wearing a grubby t-shirt and Adidas track pants and wasn’t even bothering to cover them up with a staff apron. We weren’t really expecting five star service, though. Will we be back? Of course. It’s a goof place to stop and grab some beer on the run and I must say, I am curious about the wine called«Cardinal Zin» I saw on the shelf.
