So the other reviews explain how Curtis hooks you up with the right cigar for your tastes and experience level, which is the case. But here’s the real reason I frequented La Tienda so much; the coffee. These guys make a fantastic espresso, one of the best in the city, for a really reasonable price. It used to be a local micro-​roast — I don’t know what they’re serving now, but definitely try it.

Although I frequent this shop, this review is not for me directly. My wife approached the owner to pick out a nice selection of cigars I may enjoy for our aniversary. I am by no means a regular, but Curtis (the owner) knows his clientel. He sent my wife home with a selection of beautiful smokes within her budget. I was extremely pleased with the gift and my wife enjoyed the customer service so much, I will likely be getting cigars next year.

Curtis is knowledgeable and helpful, and I wouldn’t try anything new without his classifying cigars for me based on my criteria for flavour. He is almost always on the mark. I only ever got one plugged cigar, and while I did not get a replacement, he did give me a discount on another one. A competitor might have provided a replacement in those circumstances. There’s not too much that you can’t find here in terms of cigars alone. The prices are usually lower than a competitor in the area. I would however buy some accessories elsewhere, not so much for price, but for variety and incidental lower prices since you might find something lower end yet plenty for what you need.

Friendly, helpful service and a good selection of cigars and accessories. They also carry CA magazine which is hard to find in town.
