This place advertises a western Chinese food menu but, if you eat in, you will discover a second menu for authentic Chinese food! It’s a hidden gem that serves some unique dishes. Be careful though as some of these northern China dishes are spicy! The owners don’t speak a lot of English but are super friendly. Feel free to ask them to tone down the spice level if necessary. The authentic menu comes in a variety of hot and cold dishes. Most of the cold dishes involve marinating ahead of time so quantity is limited. Like the cold noodle dish I had, it’s so popular that it usually sells out by 6pm! Prices are reasonable and will leave you full and satisfied.

A secret of this place is they have different menus for people who wants eat real Chinese food or «modified western Chinese food». My advice is try their menu for Chinese people, those cuisines take more time and skills to finish, and they are way more better. The modified ones are just fast food.

Great Xi’an(think terracotta warriors) style restaurant in Edmonton. Hot noodles, cold noodles, pork buns… each dish was an authentic hit. Especially attractive for those who like a little more heat in their food. Highly recommended.

This place was your average western Chinese food. We ordered the shrimp fried rice(the shrimp was big but tasted off, only got a few), Cantonese chow mein, lemon chicken(order extra sauce) sweet & sour pork and ginger beef. The pork and beef were the same color which was odd, but tasted good. The food was delivered fast and hot. Which it should be considering we live 5 minutes away. The five dishes cost $ 55 with tip. If you are sick of pizza I would recommend this place for a change.

It was average. Delivery was quick. We will order from there again. But we will order more sauce on the side.

Ah, this place is only alright. While not exactly bad, it isn’t exactly great, either. Typical round eye Canadian«Chinese» food is offered at Good Taste. Meh.

I was pretty pleased with this place after finding out my normal Chinese food take out what closed for a month. It came highly recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint! I called the order in and the lady was extremely helpful and patient as I decided what I wanted and she answered all my questions. When the food was picked up again the service was great and everyone there seemed extremely friendly and welcoming. They timed our order to the minute which was great because it was nice and hot when we picked it up. Food was great, no complaints here — try the ginger beef it will make your mouth water! I think we will definitely have to add this to our list of places for take-out!

I’ve been looking for a good chinese food place in south Edmonton for a while now, This popped up on Unilocal, thought I’d try it since it’s close to my residence. I ordered: Crispy Ginger beef Chicken fried rice spring rolls Beef, broccoli and mushroom. What I got was perhaps the worst chinese food I’ve ever had, which is really saying something since I eat chinese food at least 1 – 2 times a week. Crispy ginger beef was a lie. In fact is was a big pile of mush with a terrible flavor. No real spice, tasted like breaded meat mush. chicken fried rice was bland, but acceptable. spring rolls. One bite, chew chew, spit out. what the hell did I just eat? almost threw up. beef broccoli and mushroom. — mediocre, tasted like it had been sitting in a pot for a couple days. I think I got 1 entire mushroom in the whole dish. I will never return to this place and I suggest you find another spot to try out.

A fairly small and simple neighborhood Chinese restaurant in Century Park, South Edmonton. Good Taste serves up, perhaps, some of the best«western» Chinese food around. My absolute all-time favorites at Good Taste are Lemon Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice and for only $ 1.50, you cann add a delicious Green Onion Cake to any entrée meal! I also enjoy the Crispy Gau Gee. Don’t expect ambiance or too much class as again, this is a simply neighborhood restaurant, but the service is friendly and efficient, and prices are super reasonable!
