This is a convention location just off of Whyte Ave & Calgary Trail. The problem I have with this store is huge line ups. I was at this location a few days ago there was 6 people ahead of me in line and only one cashier on. A person ahead of me put her basket down and walked out of the store and I felt like doing the same but I thought I could wait longer. I the cashier didn’t call for help and when I finally got to pay there was about 7 people behind me. The cashier was good but I don’t think that he should have gotten help. This isn’t the first time there has been a huge line up and people deciding to walk out of the store then wait for a cashier.

I used to have good shopping experiences here. It is definitely not the dollar store you want to go to EVER, especially if you are in a hurry. Aisles were messy; organization of items are not very intuitive. There were unpacked boxes in the middle of this one crafts aisle — read: also known as tripping hazards; the aisles are narrow as-is as I have had a few other customers bumping into me! Worse, customers kept stubbing into the unpacked boxes. It would have been a different story had the boxes been neatly stacked, but the mixture of half sorted & unopened boxes, alongside with a dangerously placed ladder, reminded me of a nightmare from any teenager’s messy room. Staff were not incredibly helpful either if you are looking for something very specific — something you know that other Dollarama stores have got in stock. Different staff kept directing me to different aisles. It was very frustrating. I left the store without buying anything to go to a different Dollarama location instead.

Parking; it’s a bit of a fright. But the Hallowe’en section this fall is *crazy*! 1.5 aisles of kooky stuff. Gift bags, all manner of food — even some gluten free! They seem to have branched out into clothing too. Yes, they’ve expanded their wares, and prices up to $ 3 now, but I got a wilton square loaf-y type pan for $ 3! Cards, always a good selection. Yesterday, unusual lineups for the checkout. Only 2 gals on cash. Cash or debit only. No refunds, returns or exchanges! Check your stuff out before you leave. Some flashlights have no flash. ;-) dead batteries don’t help light the table at a birthday party.

Picked up some paint from Dollarama, and they had it in stock. I find that this Dollarama has a huge selection of things, and isn’t as busy and understocked as some. The lineup was rather large, and minimal staff running the tills, but I was in and out in a decent amount of time.

This location has everything you want in a Dollarama — friendly employees, 69 cent Oh Henry Bars, and lots of cheap stuff for your house. The cheap stuff you buy may break, but you understand that going into Dollarama. Dollarama is also fairly explicit about its no refund policy, so you understand the risk you take when shopping there. And nothing costs over $ 2 — no surprises.

Yep! I’m a fan. Dollarama is 99¢ shop with only a handful of items that are over a dollar. They’ve certainly got a huge variety of items! Personally, I haven’t tried any of the food items, so this review holds for things that are inedible(at least by adults). So yes, I remember my friend spending like 4 bucks on her entire Halloween costume last year and trust me. it’s all about execution. She did a great job! They have a wide variety of cheap stationery and, as someone who uses paper and pencil, I’d really say that it’s a blessing in disguise that they make it so affordable. I can be a bit of a pen snob, in general, but when I’m just in the need of paper for rough calculations or what you will, I tend to love that there’s a cheap paper + pencil option for that. Also, I should mention that they’ve got some small little items, here and there kinda, kitchen type, stuff. Like cute can openers, table cloths, shower curtains, soap holders and other such things that are great if you’re someone who’s just moved in to town and want to start off with something very basic. They also have spices etc. but given that Bulk Barn’s opened across 104th street, I’d not be the one buying that kind of stuff from Dollarama. All in all, it’s not the place to go for groceries and such, but it has myriad small things that make it a place to visit when you don’t know what exactly you want. Wrapping paper is cheap, if you’re looking to gift wrap something. The prices are so cheap that a casual browse through could lead to the purchase of unwanted things!

This is the Dollarama I shop at the most. And I love it! I have had to make a few emergency trips to this Dollarama and I’m so happy it’s close to my house. If you are cooking a big family dinner and half way through realize that you don’t have the right spices, Dollarama is there! And for that matter, we did an impromptu family dinner one night and needed to grab a few place mats, hot pots, toothpicks, oven mitts — let’s just say we didn’t think this one through before we invited everyone over. Dollarama saved our butts(and our budget) big time! These guys have a lot of stuff — from housewares to craft supplies, food to pet stuff — they have it all! My only complaint about Dollarama is that over the last few years, they’ve added $ 2 items to the mix! I would love to find just one dollar store that is a true $ 1 store. But I still love Dollarama! They made me look good in front of the future in-laws!

This is the closest Dollarama to my house, so I frequent this place a lot. If I need something quick and cheap, I come here, and most of the time, I end up getting more stuff than I intended because their stuff is surprisingly good quality for the amount you’re paying. Like the other day for example — I went to get some ribbon and glitter, and I ended up getting those along with Christmas ornaments and wrapping accessories. Seriously, some of the ornaments they have look just as good as the fancy ones in department stores where you would pay 5x as much. I plan on dragging my boyfriend here this weekend so we can pick out more ornaments together. They have almost everything here, including hardware, kitchenware, faux flowers, craft supplies, candles, party supplies, automotive supplies, house cleaning items, and hygiene products. I also love coming here for scrapbook supplies, because they have some great ones for really cheap. I end up saving loads that way. I would be cautious about buying hygiene products from here though, because my boyfriend bought a toothbrush from them once, and it fell apart as soon as he used it. So not all of their products are good quality. Also, this location does not take credit cards, only cash or debit.
