Dairy Queen

I had a huge craving for DQ and this one is within walking distance of my new place so I decided to check it out. The interior is definitely dated but super clean and there was a ton of interesting framed pics of old DQ’s when the franchise first opened which I enjoyed looking at.
The staff were friendly and I got prompt service. The food came out fast and tasted like typical DQ fare. I also LOVED the fact that I was able to get two decent sized containers of buffalo sauce without having to pay extra or beg for it like at some of the other locations
The strip mall they are housed in is older and is near several shut down businesses so I can see why Violet would bring up the concerns about shady activity. I went during the daytime and saw nothing out of the ordinary however.
I will definitely return as they won me over with their friendly attitudes, clean establishment, and generosity with my favorite sauce!

I’ve been to this location a couple of times, as it is near our office.
Parking can be a pinch if they were super busy, and other vendors were too, but it’s generally ok.
The décor inside is nothing special and it is slightly dated, as is the cash register, but the service is always very good and I think the owners themselves are fairly active in operating the cash.
I haven’t bought any actual food, just cake and some smoothies, but they were all good, and the staff was pleasant.
Nothing much to complain about, but I’ll update if the food is microwaved (literally) like some other DQ’s.

It was a weeknight around 8:30PM and there were about 3 tables occupied and no one in line. The seating looked clean and there were tables and chairs.
We ordered 2 blizzards and the staff person went to promptly make them. I noticed that mine looked a little runny and she didn’t turn flip them over to show they were the right consistency. When I got to the car, I decided I wanted to go back as it was too runny but there was a line of about 3 people so I didn’t bother. Based on this, I’m giving it 2 stars. The service was friendly though so I would go back if I was in the area and ensure the blizzard passed the upside down test.
This Dairy Queen is in a strip mall and parking can get busy with the other businesses. The evening we were there they seemed to be some shady activity outside of the store when we were leaving. May not be the best location to be walking to in the evening.

Both times we have went there we have receive sour ice cream. When I inquired about it they replaced my milkshake with the same sour ice cream they just added extra chocolate sauce hoping I wouldn’t notice. Well, I did. It’s a shame as I have generally like Dairy Queen and have fond memories of going there with my mom when I was younger. I will likely still go as this particular place seems to be a one off but I would highly recommend going elsewhere.
