I don’t understand some of the negative posts here… are they planted by competitors?
This is the ONLY Hi End Audio shop in Edmonton that has been respectful to me and trust me… I’m not known there for spending money.
My last purchase was just a cheap $ 300.00 Marantz CD Player and yet they set it up in a demo room with another player for me to compare.
My only complaint is I wish they carried more Headphone brands.

We’ve been a customer here for quite a few years, and have always received amazing customer service! We have definitely visited the store more times than we have purchased something, but we’ve always felt very welcome, the staff are very knowledgeable, and always offer to hook up something specific for us to listen to… The newest speakers or receiver.
Our sound system has pieces purchased from here, and elsewhere. There is no bias against products they don’t carry, from the staff their. They are all very knowledgeable and don’t knock a product just because they choose not to carry it.
Our receiver had to be sent in for warranty, which was very unusual… It was the firs time they’ve had to send that brand in for repair. But it was taken care of in a reasonable amount of time.
These guys take care of their customers, and show gratitude for continued patronage.
In all the times we’ve been here (close to a dozen), there was only ever one sales guy that was a bit stuck up and closed minded… And that was a couple years ago. He was a young guy and I know he used to work at a box store… But I only seen him once. Everyone else we’ve dealt with is great.
One last thing… While I love Unilocal reviews, this place has been around for decades, so clearly they are doing something right. So don’t let the negative reviews deter you.

Had a great experience here! Friendly sale staff, not pushy and willing to let me browse. When I decided what I wanted they were very helpful and knowledgable. The gentleman helping me offered to help me set up my turntable on the phone as I’m from out of town. If you live in town they do the setup for you for free. I’d be happy to do business with them in the future!

These smug weasels will all talk down to you, diss you for purchasing competitors’ products, repeatedly tell you that they’re done with you, refuse to demo products if they don’t have reason to believe you are going to make a huge purchase and the usual audiophile BS trying to establish themselves as an authority by citing having at least $ 40,000 worth of personal home theatre equipment and making you feel like what an insignificant insect you are and in need of being brought up to par with human standards.
Ironical, considering these very people acting out of animalistic instinct to survive in business, need to become better human beings first and audiophiles later. Most speciality shops survive on intimidating customers, and this one is no exception; but it is definitely the worst one I have ever come across.
They told me it usually takes 8 – 10 business days for special orders, and took my money on that premise. Five weeks later the item was apparently en route between Vancouver and Edmonton, and eight weeks later it still hasn’t arrived. Even if the wood was cut, fabric woven from scratch, then the hand-​made item dispatched by messenger pigeon, still the item should have arrived by now.
These despicable liars took my money, not the distributor of the item; but they portray themselves as the helpless middleman doing me a favour by procuring the item for me.
