I am a regular customer… I come to Delta just for this place sometimes lol I love the young lady who works here, she is by far the most sweetest and kindest person and loves her job! I believe without her this place would really go downhill. This place has evolved in some ways but the food is still great! I enjoy the chicken rice platter every now & then or the Hawaiian beef donair :)

I have been to this location 3 times now and I have to say…“Clean the freaking floors and stop selling rusty lettuce!” Terrible. Seriously, look at the toppings before you order… best bit of advice to give. I have to agree with Stephen H’s review where it stats that the employees don’t like their job. They sure give you that feeling as you watch what they do. No motivation or care goes into their work. I mean who would like their job if the management takes all the tips! One employee clearly told me not to tip them cuz they never see a penny of it! That’s just nasty! I’d say go to the other location on 88th Ave. Better service, but only by a few employees.

The food here is always fresh, well made and very tasty! The staff is always friendly and happy to see you. The combo special is my favourite. It comes with either beef, chicken or lamb. Caesar or Greek salad and a can of pop for $ 8.99.

these people hate their job but the food was ok, lame attitude from staff and really hope people would care more about customer experience

always get the chicken donair and wow is it tasty! I just wish they didn’t charge so much for extra toppings, dropping 10 $ to fill it up!

Coming from a guy that lived in East Vancouver for over 40 years and having my share of Donairs, this is pretty good! Prices are reasonable. The donairs are quite on the large size with chunky veggies and the garlic sauce is to die for. Plus their free wifi is strong and fast so you can surf on your phone while you enjoy a donair! I go there at least 2x a month now these days…

I love their lamb with rice. Will recommend this place to anyone. Sometime they put in less but just ask.

Well… I’m not going to lie. I love donair affair. I recall having my first donair joint in Germany, and my first love was with one in the UK. They added a unique hot sauce which I really enjoyed. I would be sweating like crazy but I loved every minute of it. Fast forward to donair affair, it’s not anywhere near as spicy but its sauces do add a certain depth of flavour and the nice full servings of chicken certainly help make its case. I always get the Chicken Rice Platter. So I’ll speak from that perspective. The portions are nice and filling, make for a manly meal. The chicken is roasted brown meat, which I really enjoy due to the fat content aka juiciness. The sauces really create a unique flavouring with the rice. And I really enjoy greek salads, which you can get with the platter, I’ve grown to enjoy the fresh hummus sauce as well, minus the parsley. All in all, it’s a great meal that combines some of my favourites: bbq-like meat, greek salad, creamy fresh hummus, and delicious sauces. The Good: Chicken Rice Platter The Bad: Service & consistency in terms of serving size and sauces could use a bit of work. Best Bet: Well worth the $ 9, $ 11 all in with a pop. Highly recommended. One of the better joints in the Lower Mainland for Middle Eastern food despite it being a franchise.

great taste and value. i rotate between the virtually all the menu selections(rare as I typically have one or two favourites at restaurants but here beef, chicken, falafel are all worthwhile) but have a soft spot for the chicken and rice plate especially with all three sauces.

Have been back here numerous times since my last post about this place. Absolutley love the food! I usually get the beef donair but have tried the chicken as well. For $ 5, you can’t go wrong. My donair is usually stuffed with veggies and meat. Have also tried the chicken and rice and found it pretty good too. A bit more expensive at $ 8.

What can I say? If it’s late and I’m hungry, I grab a donair or a rice with chicken box from Donair Affair. The donairs are big, super big, but since most of the stuffing is vegetables, I don’t feel *as* guilty. I like this more than Subway because there is less carbs in a pita than those Subway breads. Also, more texture and flavours in a donair. The shop gets very very hot during summer time. Employees usually just take your order without a smile, but hey, its ok, the food is yum!

Came in over the weekend for lunch for the first time as I’m a big fan of tasty donairs. We ordered 2 super chicken donairs, which have more meat than the regular as staff explained. The place was surprisingly busy and staff were focused on circulating customers as quickly as possible. I was pleased with staff and overall time it took to come and leave with our orders. The total came up to ~$ 16 for the 2, which is definitely not bad for the quality and taste we got. The pitas seemed fresh and the chicken was delicious. I think subway next door has some competition for sure. I would not recommend eating in as it can be pretty loud inside and seating is limited, which is why we took out. I would definitely come back though and both of us were very satisfied by our meals.

Other donair places beware, the Surrey and Delta areas now have a new reigning champion in the donair wars, and I kid you not. This is now officially my favourite donair/shawarma place since Mr. Shawarma closed down in Vancouver. First and foremost, I find Donair Affair’s prices to be very affordable, which is a nice change from the slightly overpriced Meditalia across town. If I’m not mistaken, they range from the $ 5.xx price point, to the most expensive donair being around $ 7.xx(I can’t recall the exact change, it may be $.69). At Donair Affair, you have a selection of Beef, Lamb, Falafel and Chicken. Within category, you have the following options. Also note, falafel is cheaper across the board. Regular — speaks for itself. The entry level donair. Super — double meat/falafel for roughly $ 1.00 more. Hawaiian — includes pineapple. Have not tried this myself. Caribbean — spicy, have not tried. Lebanese — includes hummus and tabouleh. $ 7.xx. They also have combinations(chicken/lamb, chicken/falafel etc) that run in the range for a bit more. Off the top of my head, I think they are in the $ 7.xx price point. The typical donair comes with the following toppings: lettuce, tomato, feta cheese, onions, garlic sauce(i never get this), tzatziki, and hot sauce. The donairs themselves are nicely packed and quite hefty. They are very filling and succulent. Case in point is the chicken. It is always, juicy and never overcooked/dry. I can’t comment on lamb or beef, but a friend has told me the lamb is quite good as well. I am also a fan of the falafel(spiced mashed fried chickpeas) when I am in the mood for something not as heavy as one of the meat based choices. In terms of shwarma(platter dish), I’m not the biggest fan of the greek salad that comes with it, so perhaps in the future I will opt for only the Chicken and Rice dish. The platters are very reasonably priced, $ 8.xx and $ 7xx if memory serves me correctly. These are very filling so eater beware! Other items on the menu include fries and poutine. I tried the poutine once, and was not very satisfied. The gravy had a peculiar spice to it, and the cheese was very melty. This may appeal to you, but it did not appeal to me. This place can’t do everything(though it does it’s main dishes tremendously), so unless you absolutely have to have poutine I’d suggest you stay away from it. For what it’s worth, I do frequent this place more often than I should, and usually do eat here around once or twice a week. The offerings are fresh, the interior is clean, and they have a good selection of beverages which are also fairly priced. In the four months they have been open, they have gotten better to the point where I think they have mastered their servings, I have never ever walked away from Donair Affair feeling unhappy or unsatisfied with content or value from the meal(they even take AMEX!). Donair Affair is a superb addition to the Surrey/Delta food landscape, and should be a destination hotspot for those in the need of a donair or shawarma fix. All other local places should take note in terms of pricing, quality and deliciousness.

Great new neighbourhood place for falafels, beef, chicken, lamb wraps. This neighbourhood was overdue in getting something new and reasonably priced! the décor is super simple(white walls) but eh, I’m there for pick up anyways. My fav is the rice platter with chicken, greek salad, hummus and pita… so good for under $ 9! You’ve gotta give it a try yourself. My family will be coming back for more.
