Excellent food quality, very reasonable prices and prompt service every time! I’ve been a regular at this location for almost two years and I’ve never been disappointed. Hard working staff both front and back of house. Servers are always smiling. This place is always busy so call ahead and make sure to tip generously!

Great portion sashimi!!! The food from place won’t disappoint you. Parking is usually very challenging. Long wait to be seated. Very popular place– advise to avoid 12 – 2, 6 – 8 times.

Food is fresh and well presented. Service was quick and efficient. We ordered both sushi and hot food and both were good. I know their sushi will be good but was pleasantly surprised that the hot food were good too. The only thing I didn’t like was the place was too small. We were 5 people crowded in a table for 4. Parking is hard too. This place is really busy. Long lineups and they have lots of takeout orders as well. This is good as that means their fish will be fresh.

Food is alright. Same fare as Sushi Town, decent sushi at an affordable price. The rating is mostly for the waitresses working there. I see that it is busy but they are so paranoid and rude all the time. Always rushing on the phone and during dine in. We ordered some sushi for new years eve on Thursday to go. The girl working at the counter was so rude to me and the guy behind me waiting for pick up. I ordered a bowl of rice on the spot, holding on to its receipt. She abruptly snatched it from my hand! :S told her that the receipt was just for the rice and all she said was«oh». Wth no apology. The restaurant wasn’t even full, guess there were a lot of calls for pick up but still. Train your employees.

My go to sushi place as they are cheap but very tasty, with very large portions. I especially like their spicy tuna sashimi and alaska role. However, sometimes I feel that the sashimi that is used in the spicy tuna sashimi is not that fresh and feels like the sauce is covering it up. In addition, this sushi places has significant issue with the aesthetics of the sushi. Each pieces are huge and will not be easy to fit into a single bite. In addition, the sushi will fall apart upon picking it up, which makes it a challenge to even eat it in the first place. Most of their roles are made partially with a machine, taking away from the authentic sushi experience. Lastly, they are super busy and the service is taking a toll for it. I was given a bill even before I finished eating and felt like I was pushed out the door.

Solid bang for your buck sushi. Parking is atrocious here which is why I rated it 4 stars. A lot of people park at the neighboring McDonalds lot but I recently noticed towing signs so be forewarned. I really like the smoked salmon and garlic roll and their BC roll is fantastic when eaten fresh and the salmon skin is still warm from the grill. Whenever we order spicy sashimi to go at other places we typically order the sauce on the side, but the last time we did that here they gave us a very small sauce container. Overall great value and consistent quality.

They ain’t kidding about the parking lot and how friggin packed this place is. I was seated almost immediately though so that was ok. It is loud here and obviously it’s because they are so packed. Let’s get to it. I ordered the salmon mountain roll and the crunchy house roll. Nice presentation. They obviously know their stuff here. Fresh and not frozen sashimi on their rolls. The portions are surprisingly generous. They do taste quite good. The time it took to receive my order was a bit long. The music is booming! Why!?? They are playing classical wedding music. Wtf?! I can’t hear myself think. Honestly it’s getting to me. Décor is nice and dark. Laminate flooring. There was a lady walking around to refill the tea mugs. However, the tea is luke warm. There’s this family here with a child screaming. So much for ambiance. I may return only if I want the food and not care about the ambiance. Food = 8⁄10 Atmosphere = 4⁄10 Price(value for what you get) 7⁄10

Let’s go for some sushi at Sushi Californiaaa ~~~ *plays Hotel California in head* Honestly, I like this place a lot better than Sushi Garden! I tend to avoid the rolls *shudder* the rice is usually a mess. HOWEVER, the cooked food is awesome!!! Especially their kimchi yaki rice ~ YUMO! Their sashimi is also very good, huge, thick pieces! Great value for the money! My mom is also a fan! :D There’s always a lineup, so be prepared to wait in line!

reasonable price and ok quality. there’s a bit of wait during dinner time, so go early if you can. To-go takes about 20m to prepare.

vancouver-sushi’s best kept secret. Prepare for battle though — the stories you hear about finding a parking spot is the stuff of myths and fairy-tales.

My friends and I frequent this place often. Highly suggest visiting this place when it is off-peak hours(afternoon and late night) as waits to get a table could take 15 – 20 minutes when it is busy. I would highly recommend the Alaska Roll and the Bill Roll as they are packed with flavour and still have the fresh great taste of the salmon. Though at times the garlic dressing they use for the Alaska could be slightly overwhelming if you don’t like your sushi tangy. I’ve noticed that recently there are more servers who are fluent in English. This definitely makes the order taking and making special dietary requests much more easier. There has also been some renovations done as well to the place, making it more modern and inviting!

Didn’t want to write a review for here out of fear that it would make this place even more busy. Fact of the matter is that this is my favorite sushi place in the whole world! Pros: Massive portions, dirt cheap prices, and the chefs are impressively fast!!! Cons: Long waits for a table no matter what time you go, tiny tiny parking lot, you will have a very hard time finding parking, the waitresses are terrible, they never fill your glass when it’s empty and often mess up orders.

Fresh fish = fantastic sashimi Service is incredibly fast. Don’t be scared off by the lineups.(As there always is a lineup.) Portions are very generous. Spicy tuna bowl is massive. Nigiri pieces are very large. Takoyaki(octopus balls) so yummy. Absolute best value for your money.

This place is clean, décor is a bit upscale hipster without going over the edge. Very welcoming atmosphere. I got some tempura, avocado rolls, veggie rolls and some mango ice cream. Prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was very sweet. She checked on us frequently.

Great value! If you are a hardcore foodie, this place probably isnt for you. This is more of a get in, eat, and go kind of place. The service is pretty minimum, and the menu is pretty limited. However, everything on the menu taste great. It is really good value. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $ 15 dollars for a dinner there. If you are in the tri city area and you are hungry, this place is a must try

I don’t get all the good reviews for this place. We arrived with a colleague at around 11:40. Cold tea — probably from last night Last nights miso soup Takoyaki tasted like feet — I can’t believe I had 4 Service was okay We ordered 3 rolls of sushi. All of which was made horribly where they would fall apart as soon as you touched it Hope they were having a bad day because I am never going back.

First off I can’t believe how busy this place is. They open at 11:30 and we arrived 10 minutes early and wanted in our car. 7 minutes later we turned around and there was a line stretching out the door. The sushi was pretty average overall, I’m usually not one to say something is bad. But I didn’t find it overly good by any means. The takoyaki also tasted like rubber. But I will say beef tataki was surprisingly good! I’m not sure if I would recommend this place to a friend, it was insanely busy the entire time we were there but the sushi wasn’t impressive at all.

A solid 3 stars for sure. I drive by this place almost everyday, looks always busy, I’ve been wanting to try it. So I did today, warning the parking lot is small and dangerous. I had to circle 3 times and finally I decided to park on the street a couple minutes walk. If I wasn’t craving sushi and super hungry I probably would have driven away or have gone to McD right beside it. The sushi I ordered sushi and sashimi combo just over 9 dollars big portion worth the price. I sat on the bar fast and friendly service. I don’t know if I would go back due to the lack of parking but a good stop for cheap sushi.
