Amazing staff who take the time to walk you through any and all questions you may have. Love the samples they offer as well. Great selection of drinks, bitters, gifts.

Its a great place to walk into to ask for advice or recommendations, because their staff really know their stuff. And they carry items that are usually not typical, alcohol that is not common in other liquor stores. So you can go in telling them you like this or that, and they will point you to something truly unique that you will most likely also enjoy.

THE best liquor store I have ever been to. Oh and I have been to a lot. I am a Bourbon enthusiast, a term that is not coterminous with alcoholic one hopes. The selection at Vine Arts is the best in Calgary and they always seem to be adding to it, if you’re a fan of scotch, they seem to stock an even greater choice for that. we have bought many great wines there too, the selection is vast and the knowledgable guys and girls who work there are always helpful. In fact, this last point is what makes it a joy to go to, Jeff, Jessie, Eric, Aaron, Katie, et al, they make every visit a fun, chatty and sometimes very informing experience. If you live in Calgary check it out, if you’re visiting Calgary, then definitely check it out.

I love the service and the selection at Vine Arts! Jessie(one of the owners) helped me finding the perfect red wine for our dinner party. I also picked up a couple of my favourite Valpolicellas from them to place in our cellar for another time. Going back here for sure the next run! — SM

Vine Arts is a neat little liquor store on 1st St SW. I went to a sampling event there and was pleasantly surprised by the spot. They have a fantastic selection. It may not be the sprawling spread of liquors and wine that you would find at a Co-op or Costco, however you can tell that they are selective of what they stock. They have a nice wine selection on one side of the store and a good selection of hard liquor on the other half. I was really impressed with the scotch selection. Again, it wasn’t huge, but all the important stuff was there! If you are in the area looking for a bottle of wine or a good bottle of scotch, pop in here! The staff take pride in what they do, and really know their stuff. They also have a deal with New Deal Distillery, the maker of ‘Hot Monkey Vodka’ which is definitely worth trying! The same company makes(and Vine Arts stocks) a Ginger liqueur which is also worthwhile!

I went looking for biodynamic and or organic wines. The guys here are knowledgeable, friendly and offer a great selection. They had over 6 choices of organic wines plus some gluten free beers… excellent place

What an amazing staff. I don’t even have to think about what wine to get, they ask to help as soon as I walk in. Too bad the craft beer selection took away from the chilled wine space! ;)

Vine Arts is a great addition to the Victoria Park neighbourhood located near Hotel Arts. Jesse and his team have put together a great selection of wines and a welcoming atmosphere where you’re encouraged to explore and/or seek our their expertise. With each visit, I keep acquiring some great new wines to enjoy with friends. Thanks for all the tips Vine Arts.

Hold on just one gosh darned tootin’ minute. Another wine store open in Calgary? How many of them do we possibly need? About as much as we need another cool restaurant to eat in… read: a lot! With each boutique wine store comes another palette behind it to teach us things about wines that we didn’t know before. And, 1stSW in Victoria Park didn’t have a cool wine store yet, so, another reason to add one to the mix. Rather than being displayed by country of origin, wines are organized by type. Reds on one side, whites on another. and subsequent categories by flavour… like smooth and sexy. C’mon, who doesn’t want a smooth and sexy wine? I came in on the hunt for a nice red to sip on while doing some writing. I came out with just that-a sweet bottle of Barossa. I’ll leave the full critique for another day, but if you like reds that are on the sweeter side without being too overpowering, shut down that computer, make your way downtown and pick up a bottle from Vine Arts before I decide I want to buy the rest of the bottles on the shelf.
