Up until recently, this location was largely unknown and very quiet, but time and familiarity have changed that now. There are often times when there isn’t an empty table in the place. It’s close proximity to two junior high schools and a high school can make it crazy with teens at lunch and in the late afternoon. It is a large location with tables and counter seating along the windows. There are also two sets of comfy armchairs — one set in a cozy nook. When the weather is nice, there is a huge sunken patio area outside which is very sheltered should the wind pick up. The patio is one of the best patios I have seen at any coffee shop in Calgary, both for size and location. It doesn’t feel at all like an afterthought plunked down on the edge of a parking lot. In fact, one can hardly see the parking lot. The food and drink are standard Starbucks fare. Drinks are prepared remarkably consistently by the baristas. The preparation and dining areas are kept clean. The staff are friendly and efficient. I have seldom had to wait for more than a few minutes to receive my drink, even during the busiest times. There is no drive-thru at this location. The set up doesn’t allow for it.
