Second Cup

Yes, I have said that Second Cup makes nearly the best mocha in town next to Joshua Tree, but I wasn’t really feeling the love at this location. The two women on staff appeared pretty mellow and maybe even glum. I saw one of them chewing food while dealing with customers and I beat them to cleaning off a table, even though it wasn’t that busy. My mocha was delicious as usual, but the café itself was cold (many people left their coat or sweater on, including me) and the seat backs are metal, which is also cold. The restroom could be a little nicer or use a touch up. The door looks like it has seen better days.
This Second Cup gets three stars because of the goods and that’s what saves it from getting two. It’s just not the coziest café, is all.
