On The Go

On the Go is as-​advertised. It provides easy-​to-​grab-​and-​go food for Foothills’ visitors. The best part of On the Go though is their hardworking (and incredible) staff. The baristas are amazing. They strike up lively coversation, manage an incredibly busy coffee counter, and do it all with finesse that not just anyone can muster.
Beyond that, the coffee itself is Starbucks and Starbucks specialty beverages are also featured. My favourite is the skinny vanilla latte. Nothing like a nonfat nonsweet coffee in the morning to get the blood pumping. Regardless, I would recommend On the Go, they do a great job and their staff really is awesome.

This shop is located in the atrium between the HRIC and Health Sciences buildings on the Foothills campus. A decent spot to grab a Starbucks coffee, and most of the daily lunch dishes are actually prepared pretty well. The lunch dish changes each day, with one meat entrée (e.g. herbed fish fillet), a vegetarian choice (e.g. lasagna), and a short-​order hot wrap (e.g. fajita). These are a good alternative to the Hospital cafeteria, and the salads they come with are actually tasty (e.g. roasted corn and peppers). The baked goods and packaged salads/​sushi on the other hand are nothing to write home about.
