Obviously this place doesn’t compare to large chain grocery stores, since it’s small with standard stock, but that doesn’t make it any less great. I can’t tell you how happy I would be to have a mini-mart close by my house so I wouldn’t have to drive out of my way to pick up small, inconsequential things. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wished I could walk to a grocery store to grab some milk because I’m making macaroni and cheese and didn’t realize my boyfriend finished it. Or when I have a craving for cheese sauce or pickles or I really want some orange juice. It would be so nice to be able to walk to a small grocery store and grab what I need. The people in the Richmond area are super lucky because they have this adorable little store run by the cutest people in the city so close by. They can just pop in when they need a couple eggs or a bit of butter. Even if the thing you need is some random like string or a measuring cup, Foodway has the necessities you need when in a bind. I wish that I had Foodway close to me. Maybe one day I’ll get to live the dream of frequenting a mini-mart as cute as this place!
