Reminds me of a sari sari store in the middle of Calgary. They have a good selection of different Filipino staples at excellent prices. Its definitely the best place in town to get Filipino groceries.

The Filipino Market is a quaint l’il shop that carries a modest selection of authentic frozen and dried goods, as well as an ample collection of Philippine made beauty products. (Some of the brands carried are Eskinol, Maxi Peel, Ponds, and Placenta) The Placenta name brand kinda threw me for a loop, as my understanding of the word doesn’t lead me to want to rub it on my body, but different strokes for different folks I say. It may mean something entirely different in the Philippines –or not. Regardless, the lady behind the counter was charming and sweet and it was a pleasure to peruse her modest array of imported Filipino products.
