A delightful little chocolate shop. The owners are passionate about what they do and it shows in the quality of their product. They offer a unique variety of flavours and presentations, all of which are smooth and delicious and leave you wanting more.

Delicious hand-made chocolate. Try their Mayan Hot Chocolate — hmmm, hot and spicy! Prices are moderate compared to other chocolatiers. A few doors down from my favorite convenience store down-town: Kalamata. Owners are great!

Yeah, I end up here all too often it seems. BUT, I gotta let you Unilocalers in on this. Holy MOCHA deliciousness! Part coffee, part Epiphanie chocolate, ALLAWESOME. It was like sipping on warm velvety smooth chocolate, with the familiarity of coffee, but a surprising touch of seductive cinnamon. You want a GOOD cup of mocha or hot chocolate that will make you stop in your tracks, and forget the world for a moment? This is it.

Friendly place, nice location. It’s small and was a bit crowded with one person running things and three customers. But I was there first so nyahh. There were Pyramids, Big red Lips, A Pig, A Honeybee, A Rose, Flowers, very cool patterns… and flavors. I went for the 20 box, choose them all individually, and the assortment and presentation looks absolutely fantastic in the box! Very different. At $ 39.98, I thought it was in the same price range as you-know-who, but much more visually appealing. There are also cute little boxes of 4 for around $ 8. I am feeling very good about the two gifts I knocked off the Christmas list today. Oh yeah, the chocolate and fillings are superb. And another thing, they will put any image you want on a chocolate, from a digital image! Let your imagination run wild on that one. Not sure why its not getting a 5, I’m just going with the flow.

Forgive me Unilocalers, for I have sinned. My name is Wendy and I’m a choco-holic. It has been twelve minutes since I last ate a piece of delicious handcrafted chocolate from Epiphanie. I remember a time when Epiphanie didn’t exist in the lovely little strip that is 11th St. I also remember the day I saw brown paper in the windows and a sign that said«chocolate store-coming soon.» And then, the memorable day when the brown wrapping was taking down and I could peer in the windows on my way to work before it was open, and peer in the windows again on my way home from work after it was closed. I made it in on a lunch hour once and managed a sample. This time around, I came out with a little box of four chocolates. I’m scared what the next time will bring. With so many delightfully decorated chocolates and ingredients mixed in to many different chocolates like mint, honey, ginger, passion fruit and the likes, I simply cannot resist. I’m going back to try the hot chocolate(and the guitar with pop rocks in it that Crystal H mentioned). Idea: buy your Christmas chocolates here. I’ll bet your recipients haven’t had this chocolate yet.

Buzz… no seriously. The chocolates deserve buzz. And not just because the hand painted bee on a «signature» honey and cinnamon treat told me. This quaint little store has samples to try, a comfy window seat to rest and irresistibly beautiful creations that caused some serious oohing and ahhing, humming and hawing when I visited for the first time. There’s guitars with pop rocks, frogs, a big turtle and a whole assortment of bars, bricks and chips. I also spied some hot drinks that might just do me well to try next time. They also do custom work: think wedding trinkets with pictures on them, or chocolate business cards. These little treats might cost a pretty penny but each bite was worth it and I did indeed savour them. Have I eaten all of my purchases yet? No, no… I’ve trucked them back to Vancouver and am waiting for my «honey» to come home to devour the hand painted piggie-smoked-bacon(that’s right, with a pig on top), the«lips,» «Saffron» beauty and the earl gray masterpiece.

If you want to wake up your tastebuds with, sinfully delicious hand-crafted chocolates, then look no further than Epiphanie Chocolates on 11th St SW. This chic local chocolate boutique serves up a wide assortment of luxurious gourmet flavoured milk and dark chocolates sure to please any chocolate lover. I was in there the other day to pick up a treat for my lady and found the owner to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. After discussing what type of chocolates my lady prefers, the owner helped me hand pick a small selection of truffles and ganache filled chocolates and packaged them up in a decorative bag with a bow. Based on the response I got, I did well with my selection. The chocolate was apparently smooth and creamy, and the various different truffle fillings were rich and flavourful, all of which brought a smile to my lady’s face, and that’s all I was aiming for, so mission accomplished!
