Worst place ever. Funny smell that doesn’t leave your pores long after you’ve already left, owners are WEIRD. Hate it. Stop dragging me here. ;) JUSTKIDDING! Love you, Shannon and Maria Elena! Best space ever, with the nicest owners in town. Free hugs and piggyback rides when you’re too drunk to navigate the stairs!

I went to Unilocal’s Triple Threat here recently and had a wonderful time. I love the space and the art! The window and big funky chairs were my personal favorite. The atmosphere was open and friendly. I felt welcome by all. If I had a reason to rent space for a party or gathering this would be the top of my list!

This is a beautiful space! I quite like their layout. Most of the art they have there is somewhat interactive, and they always have something for everyone. I’ve been there for the Protospace section of the Haultain and 1st Street Festival, and have performed there with the Calgary School of Samba. Numerous other groups have used the space, and they’ve even held weddings there. I quite like how wide open it is. Sometimes I find that some art galleries try to cram as much in as possible. Endeavor takes advantage of a very minimalist layout, involving a couch, a couple chairs, and a coffee table. I really like this space, and suggest it to anyone who is looking to do an event in the area. The hosts Maria and Shannon are awesome, and ask if you’d like some coffee or water shortly after arriving. This is somewhere I wish I got to more often, as it’s a cool place to hang out even when they aren’t hosting events.

A new and cutting edge Art Gallery and Event Space . who’s mandate is digital art and technology with a social interactive community engagement component. Super friendly great events… must see and attend often.

This is such a fabulous venue for events. I was here for an evening with Awesome Calgary and was very impressed. I later found out that this art gallery hosts many different events every night. Not only is the art spectacular, Endeavor is a very active part of Calgary’s community, and for this, I give them 5 stars!

I’m far from an art gallery type of guy. With that being said, I really enjoyed my recent visit to Endeavor Arts Gallery for the November Awesome Calgary awards. I remember this place as The Night Gallery back in the day and obviously it’s changed. The pieces they had displayed were awe inspiring and actually the type of art I could see myself hanging in my home. A highly recommended destination for those art lovers out there. 22⁄30

Endeavor, you are one of those venues where I could come back over and over and over… Oh, wait, I do: P I’ve been to Endeavor for: — Awesome Calgary Pitch Night — Geek Movie Night — Unilocal Potluck Party — Calgary Samba School … and there’s more, I’m sure. The space is huge but inviting. There are always intriguing exhibits. Unlike other galleries, Endeavor also gets into mixed media. such as the exhibit on now where you can listen to stories as part of the art, or digital art. Maria and Shannon are amazing hosts. They are always accommodating. Their coffee is super cool & yummy. I’m always up for any event that goes on at Endeavor. I see this space doing great things into the future. (25÷30)

It’s hip to be geek at Endeavor. Am I for real? An art gallery that embraces funky culture and new media? If only Calgary could be so lucky… well, we are. Endeavor by day is a bright open space in what used to be The Night Gallery. You old school club goers should remember that space on 1stSW. You should see it now! Big windows, skylight, white walls, bathrooms with doors… oh yes. The space has attained a class its predecessor would never have known. My favourite time to check out Endeavor is during a First Thursday evening. You know that event that many of you know from Art Central? Well, it extends all the way down here, and to many places in between. Endeavor’s always got some kind of event planned for First Thursday. I made a robot at the last event. Other great times at the gallery have included Geek Movie Night(the last one I was at, we watched Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long blog), more First Thursday events and even a great big ol’ party, known as WSKEO #75(We Should Know Each Other). As a party space with bands and the likes, it’s not that great, especially if you like your music loud. The acoustics just don’t work here. But I’ve also been here for some acoustic performances. For that, it’s just lovely. And the space can be easily re-arranged to accommodate a variety of setups. I guess that’s why the«event space» tag is part of the title. Endeavor is not your ordinary art gallery. Keep your eye on this spot.

This is a fantastic event space! Really big room, lots of natural light from the east and a sky light. Hardwood floors and high ceiling. The owners are Maria and Shannon, two of the most lovely people in Calgary. A very easy place to be, look at art work and socialize. Very interactive.

Traditionally, I’ve never been an art guy, and I never used to visit galleries on a regular basis. That changed when I started participating in Art Walk with Art though, and a regular stop on that tour these days is Endeavor Arts. Their primary focus is on digtal arts; mainly art that has a digital component to it. It doesn’t necessarily mean art that appears on a video screen(although there usually are a couple of exhibits like that at any one time). The art can be digitally created, or have an interactive component through technology incorporated into it; many of the exhibits are open to interpretation like that. If it has a digital component to it, it’s fair game. A couple of the more interesting exhibits I’ve seen the few times I’ve visited: — Dynamic art that patrons can interact with using an assortment of input devices like trackpads and Playstation 3 controllers — Interactive art such as a community painting where you can add a few strokes here and there, which gets recorded to a digital camera as well. Exhibits change monthly, so each visit every month is always a new experience. It’s an interesting venue, and the owners are always so friendly when we visit. If you’re in the area looking for something to do, you should drop by. Even if you’re not a «traditional art person,» you may find something here to interest you. If you’re looking for different and unique art to look at, or something with a modern component to it, you’ll probably like this place as well.
