Compared to other branches in the City, Village Square is small and VERY noisy. I have never seen anyone discourage cell phones ringing, loud conversations, or asked people not to sleep in the comfy chairs. Perhaps it is conveniently attached to the Leisure Centre as well as a High School, but there are lots of loud inconsiderate people with a general disregard for quiet patrons. Staff is not very friendly and quite loud themselves.
Pro: Perfect if you’re looking for a place to socialize and let your toddlers run around
Con: Not suitable if you’re looking for a place to relax and read or study

This library has been in the Village Square Leisure Centre for over 25 years. It’s one of the best in the city and recently renovated.
It’s quite big and all on one level. There’s plenty of computers to borrow if you don’t have a computer. The whole one side of the library has windows, so this is a bright, well-​lit library tha’s enjoyable to spend time in.
There’s always lots of free programs for children and adults, too.
