Calgary Co-op Liquor Store

This location has only been open a few months but already I am a fan. I’m all about walkability in a neighborhood so a liquor store within walking distance was a perfect addition. The existing building was repurposed and it has been updated really nicely along with a big parking lot. The downside of the parking lot would be the one entrance/​exit. It is a it narrow and visibility is limited with the fence all along the street side. This has resulted in a couple of near misses with cars coming in/​out at the same time. They often have someone demonstrating a product and who doesn’t like samples! The beer cooler is large and the variety is really good, prices competitive with other liquor stores. Lots of local, micro brew and the big guys too. There is a decent wine selection and again large coolers for wines as well. Arctic Ice cooler for those party needs. I’ve also received coupons at least 4x since they opened and some really decent discounts. I believe our best was $ 15.00 off a name brand bottle of rye.
