My favorite donair place. Always fresh food at great price. The owner is very nice guy and happy to support his business. If you are a fan or donair try him out.

Best quick food in Burnaby Heights hands down. If you work from home and need a quick lunch there is no better place!

This is one of my go to places when in North Burnaby. I always get the regular beef donair where the beef is well seasoned and the tsatsiki is very creamy and garlicky. He even finishes up the donair with a piece of beef and a dollop of tsatsiki so your first bite is as good as the middle bite where the meat and sauces may have settled. Great little«greasy spoon» place.

I really liked this place. I find a lot of donair places really saucy, just soaked. This place is pretty simple, affordable and tasty. It tasted really fresh and flavourful, and although there was the tasty donair sauces we all know and love, it was more balanced. I would describe it as fresh and traditional and un-Americanized

This is one of my favourite donair place. I always drive past here on my way home from work and grab something to go when I don’t feel like cooking. The only reason why Turkish Donair isn’t getting 5 stars is because he seems to open and close whenever he wants. He must live really close and have a second income because sometimes he is closed at 3PM on a Wednesday and then open the next day till 7PM or closed on a Tuesday at 5. It makes no sense, but it also makes me appreciate these donairs more. When it’s open, I take it as a good luck omen. Plus, the man that works there is always very nice to me.

We tried the beef and chicken Donairs as this place is near my house. Just excellent. The owner is a really nice guy. It was so good we went back a second day and ordered a beef donair and a lamb meat plate. Just delicious and the lamb kebabs are pretty big. The owner gave my daughter a free strawberry Turkish soda. We also ordered these delicious small donuts? They are heavy little and sweet and so delicious. We really like this place and recommend it.

Good tasting donairs. Cozy restaurant with not much seating. I’d avoid if you are in a rush. The owner/operator can only handle making one Donair at a time rather than bring to multitask. Owner does like to chit chat a lot with customers which takes even longer to get you’re food. Calling in to order pickup sometimes help however even if you call in the order and it’s already made you will still have to wait till the owner is finished making somebody’s else’s order. Stopping work for just a moment to take the money for my pickup order would be nice but as I said, the owner is not able to multitask. ONE thing at a time! You have been earned?

Great tasting Don Airs made to order. They even cut third meat on order of your preference of wrap. Customer service is great. I have been customer for this location for more that 10 years and owner operator provide consistently great food. I have always stayed with chicken don-airs with added some hot source. Be prepare to wait during rush hours like lunch and dinner.

I had come with my wife and waited for 10 minutes and then when the owner finished with the lady ahead of us, I was ready to order. But instead, he turned his head to another couple and spoke Lebanese and took their order. The place is getting a little too popular. I love the chicken donair. But it will be awhile before I return.

Okay quality donairs at reasonable prices for the Lower Mainland. I have been to Edmonton and had the best footlong donairs at $ 7. Must be the access to Albertan beef or something! However, I do not make my way to Alberta often so I am always looking for something comparable closer to home :). I was able to get a basic small beef donair for $ 3.99. Good for snack size. Basic fillings of lettuce, tomato, onions and tzatziki. I wish the beef had more spice but it was still okay. I think Babylon Café makes better donairs. Service was great. Owner was very talkative as customers waited for their turns. Small restaurant with limited seating mainly for couples. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Also, the restaurant is very warm because of all the meat cooking?

I’ve driven past this establishment on several occasions when it was suppose to open but was closed. Tonight when I was craving Donair, I drove from North Van to Burnaby, parked my car, walked 2 blocks to his restaurant, entered his establishment and the owner tells me that it’s closed with 20 min left before official closing time. That’s it! I’m done with this place. I’ve had enough. The food is decent at Turkish Donair, but it’s nothing special that would bring people across town for. The owner seems like he only opens and closes his business whenever he feels like without any regard for his customers. And come on, what kind of respectable chef would close a restaurant located in a residential neighbourhood at 7pm? You’re not operating in a business district. I’m never coming back again.

I was in the area for another restaurant, but it was closed. The lineup out the door made this one stand out, so I decided to try it(after checking out the reviews on Unilocal!) A very small place, a few chairs, it’s essentially a take out. The owner seems to remember his regulars, and there were quite a few of those. I had the Lebanese Chicken wrap. Very good with just the right amount of zip. Will be back when I’m in area again :)

Don’t just come here for the donairs, but for its cozy sofa chairs in the back, just enough for 2 couples. Lebanese chicken #10 is their signature, good portions too. Owner does take good pride when he serves ;) Price is right. Free parking in front.

This cozy little Donair shop has some of the tastiest donairs you will find. For $ 3.99 you can get their small beef. But I would recommend paying the extra fifty cents for their Hawaiian donair. Their chicken and lamb are about $ 0.50 more. I’ve been a patron with the current owner for at least the last five years and he’s always been friendly and sociable. The donairs are definitely delicious, but if you’re hungry, you are better upgrading to a large.

This is one of my regular stops(approximately once per week). I quickly discovered my favorite item(Hawaiian chicken Donair), and my husband his(Greek beef Donair). As someone else said a small shop with a big heart. The owner is fantastic, always jovial, and works as quickly as he can. Customer service is exemplary. Be aware that there will be a lineup around lunchtime and dinnertime. But it is worth the wait. If you are in between regular meal times, you will probably be surfed right away. Otherwise, just sit back and relax. Every time I go in there is at least one other regular present, so I know I’m not the only one who hits this fantastic place up regularly. The Donairs themselves are great, and I can’t imagine eating anything else from the menu. The food is always fresh… sometimes to the point that he may run out of an ingredient… but then I just move on to a slightly different type of Donair. Highly recommended. You will likely become a regular too.

Turkish Donair — Tiny shop, big heart. I’ve been living in North Burnaby since I was a lad, and I’ve seen this location(which is currently Turkish Donair) undergo several changes in the past decade or so including new owners, renovations, and cuisines(at one point it was a bubbletea shop). I’d love to give this place a 4-star rating, but unfortunately the donairs don’t quite cut it for me. The gentleman behind the counter is very engaging, sociable and willing to please all his customers, however, the donair portions in comparison to prices are lacking as well as their flavour. I asked him why he doesn’t have the popular garlic sauce available and he told me it’s because it’s unhealthy. I appreciate his honesty and the fact that he prepares his own tzatziki sauce, but that garlic sauce is what gives a donair that extra kick! Additionally, I was disappointed that the hot sauce he used was straight-from-the-bottle sriracha sauce. Biting into a donair with said sauce just doesn’t work! I’d much rather have sriracha with a bowl of phở, rather than a Turkish donair. I’m all for small businesses, but I’ve had better donairs. Should you pay this little eatery a visit though? Absolutely.

**Three and a Half Stars** This place serves some delicious donairs. I’ve been a fan of theirs since they took it over from the previous owners. Only major problem is choosing between lamb, chicken or beef and what toppings to have — they offer several styles of donair and even have the maritimer sauce, if that is your thing. Only problem is that they experience quite a rush during the lunch hour and I’ve only ever seen the owner working the counter by himself. As much as he’d like to serve everyone, it is quite impossible and it can get a bit frustrating and confusing with people coming and going. Sometimes people call in orders and seem to be jumping the line when they breeze in and step in front of those who are standing there patiently waiting. It makes me wish that he would implement some sort of system where those who are there in person could place order and leave and come back but he didn’t seem to be open to that idea. It would be nice to not have to stand around, unsure of position in the line, and go elsewhere and shop during the wait… Oh well. I now go there whenever I’m in the area after 1pm — or on the rare occasion that my patience exceeds my appetite.

I ate one of their donairs 24 hours ago and I’m still thinking about it. I admit I am not a donair regular, but if they all tasted as good as this place I would be. I had the Greek style chicken donair which was filled with savoury sliced meat, feta, olives and general yumminess tightly wrapped in a pita. Others might note that should be called a «gyro»; perhaps. Geography asside, I call it damn tasty. The husband and wife team behind the counter were very friendly, giving the narrow, modest eatery a comfortable feel. Fine dining it is not, but great tastes with modest imprint on your wallet it is. Recommended. Fun fact: Turkish Donair serves Lebanese, Greek and Turkish style donairs(and plates) and is run by a friendly Persian couple. I asked them about the name verses the menu and they admitted the restaurant had that name when they bought it from the previous owners.

I was suppose to try another restaurant for lunch, but that place was full. As I was walking along Hastings, I saw this little Donair shop and decided to try it out. Imagine a typcial but small diner with tables for 2 along a narrow hallway. You will be greeted by a friendly man who will take your order at the counter. While ordering, there’s a Bollywood video playing on the TV. Not blaring loud, but enough to make you mesmerized. It was. interesting. The food was not bad. We had the chicken platter and the lamb donair. The meats weren’t dry and the rice wasn’t too soft. The vegetables were fresh and so were the sauces. One thing I liked about my platter was that I didn’t feel heavy after finishing it. The food wasn’t smothered in oil, but still had a lot of flavor.
