Hmmm. Organics wow looks like a warehouse. My wife who goes gonzo over organic food & warehouse shopping only to discover that Pro Organics Saturdays open to the public is just a way of them making extra money aside from their main operations. When we got there it was close to closing so the fresh veggies were picked over & yes the prices were still high. Even the bulk food that can keep were on the expensive side eg. Green lentils $ 1.75/ lb &cannelina $ 2.20/ lbs. Dairy, eggs meats outrageously expensive. They did have game meat & buffalo meat in freezers but beyond what we can afford . Sorry my video was shakey & I couldnt give you more prices but we ended up walking out w/o a purchase. I think Famous foods would carry dried organic seeds/grains/beans etc. at a better price. Good thing Burnaby Costco was across the street for our amusement.

To all of the reviewers focused on PRICE. Just remember that Pro-Organics donates a portion of all proceeds from their Saturday market sales to the pro-organics foundation, which in turn sponsors and supports local community projects. The amount is not insignificant — if I recall it is around 30%. Suffice to say, this is a legit local company, with great Vancouver heritage, that I wake up every Saturday excited that they open their doors to individual shoppers. So although I do shop around for all of my organic produce, I definitely don’t drive across town to wholefoods to support an american company and save 30 cents/lb on my apples.

I look forward to my weekly trip to Pro Organics. It’s an organic foodies’ heaven. They don’t have warehouse prices, but what they do have is some of the freshest organic produce in the city. Their greens are bursting with freshness and they have a large selection. I can buy all of my organic produce in one place, which is really convenient. I don’t have to read labels; I know everything is organic. They do have good weekly specials, which I stock up on. Also you do get a discount if you buy in volume. I believe $ 200 is 5% off, $ 30010% off and so on. Good if you want to stock up on grains, frozen organic meats, nuts, beans. I do find some things more expensive, like eggs and maple syrup. Cheese is fairly comparable.

Cash or Debit Although the prices for some items may not be cheap vs other stores, they do have a VAST selection of products. When i first walked in, i thought i actually died and went to heaven. The amount of fresh organic produce made my heart flutter just a bit. I came out of there with a massive box full of leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables for just under $ 45. I would have probably spend $ 60+ at any other big box grocery store. Guess this will be my regular Saturday routine from now on.

The previous reviewer Andy is right, the prices aren’t the lowest so shop around. I ended up only buying a few apples and cheesebread. They also only take cash or debit card.

Open to the public on Saturdays from 8am — 2pm Prices are good but don’t be fooled they are not whole sale prices on Saturday! You really need to know your prices. We found some items cheaper in Whole Foods. Buyer beware. On sale items normally mean over ripe and limited self life.
